Some of the questions I learned to ask as a 16 year old server at Marie Callendar's, yes the same people that make the frozen foods and pies, were the following: - "How many in your party?" 👧🏾 🧔🏾♂️ 👩🏾🦱 👵🏾 - "Will your family need a high-chair or booster seat?" 🪑 -"Do you prefer the smoking or non-smoking section?" 🚭 🚬 - "Can I seat another large family in your section?" 🙅🏾♂️ -"Can I have Friday off for the football game?" 🏈 During my time as a top hostess, I learned a few of these skills: Time-management Conflict resolution Communication and collaboration As impactful as my first job was, there were missed opportunities for me to receive any sort of recognition for the traits and experiences I developed and experienced. This can change when we reshape credentialing experiences. Take less then 5 minutes to look at the Credentialing Landscape Analysis report Getting Smart recently published. Let us know what you think or share examples of places that are being creative about credentialing. We'd love to know your thoughts. https://lnkd.in/gnyfBjdC

My game face prior to chairing a Getting On Board webinar on 'making an impact as a trustee'. Stats from the audience of 80: 100% said it would make them be a more effective trustee, 100% would recommend the session to others, 100% were satisfied or very satisfied (89% were very satisfied). Comments included: "This was an excellent session, so full of practical advice, personal experiences and insightful questions and tips in the chat. I will definitely recommend fellow trustees..." "It was a lively and useful discussion, with plenty of practical ideas. All the speakers were highly articulate and thoughtful. Thank you." My game face was on as I was recovering from a gastric infection - or so I thought. Wrong! Just before the end, I had to briefly hand over to Penny Wilson. Fortunately our relationship is close enough to share medical woes and I don't believe any of our audience members were any the wiser - until now! Thanks Fiona McAuslan, Mark Dunwell and Rebecca Davy for being such a great panel. I'm so thankful for understanding clients such as Getting on Board and also UnLtd who agreed to postpone a workshop I was due to deliver today without any hesitation. I talk about wellbeing a lot. You make more impact when you feel rested physically and mentally. I'm practicing what I preach and taking the day off. #trusteeship #governance #impact

Celebrating Collaboration and Learning in the Midlands Today, we proudly hosted a Midlands Regional Learning Event in collaboration with Health Innovation East Midlands, showcasing the incredible work and insights around the Patient Safety Incident Response Framework (PSIRF). This inspiring event brought together a diverse group of stakeholders, including teams from patient safety, quality improvement, governance, and beyond. Together, we explored the meaningful impact of PSIRF and shared strategies for fostering a culture of learning and improvement. Highlights included: ➡️ Lauren Mosley, Head of Patient Safety Implementation, NHSE, who opened the session with reflections on how oversight can support effective approaches for learning and improvement. ➡️ Dudley Group NHS Foundation Trust, presented their experience and outcomes from their impactful thematic reviews to enhance pressure ulcer prevention care. ➡️ NHS Derby and Derbyshire Integrated Care Board (ICB), presented their approach to evidencing PSIRF progress by creating a East Midlands shared learning space. A huge thank you to everyone who joined us and contributed to this vital discussion! Together, we’re shaping a safer, more effective healthcare system for all.

We have 2 professions to recognize this week! It's 1️⃣ #CRNAWeek 2️⃣ #IVNursesDay 👍🏽 or 👏🏽 to show your appreciation. Differentiating each team member’s role, scope of practice, and responsibility in promoting health outcomes is an IPEC sub-competency for interprofessional teams. The next time you run into one of these team members, ask them about ➡️ their training ➡️ what makes their role unique ➡️ where does their role overlap with others ➡️ their national board or certification exam process Remember, we are BETTER TOGETHER! _____________ IPEC = Interprofessional Education Collaborative
