AI TRUE BENEFITS: LIFE EXTENSION This is an example of true AI benefits: Moving the needle of 5-years survival rates for pancreatic cancer from 11% to over 80%. Stuff like AI-generated images and videos, or other things alike, may be interesting, but here we talk about some completely different ball game: the early detection and treatment of this terrible disease, and the extension of life for those affected by it.

🔬 Exciting News! Our latest research on the geographic disparities in the distribution of cancer clinical trials across the United States has just been published in the April 2024 issue of JMCP. This study sheds light on the uneven distribution of phase 1-3 cancer clinical trials, revealing that less than half of U.S. counties had any trials between 2008 and 2022. Our findings highlight significant barriers in rural, low-income, and less-educated areas, potentially affecting patient outcomes and access to innovative treatments. Our findings emphasize the need for strategic placement of trial sites to promote equitable health opportunities.
