What AI is actually good for: stochastic research problems in structured problem spaces. Not cosplaying as a Fiverr version of art you can't afford, understand or even intelligently capitalize on anyway without cheapening it for yourself and everyone else in the process. AI art of any kind is basically Gold spray paint. You can put it on things but you can't make an economically significant (aka sellable) amount of gold come out. You'd probably make more money recycling the can.

As part of its Future Cancer Inquiry, the UK Parliament’s Health & Social Care Select Committee has taken oral evidence this week from experts to establish the extent to which innovation can improve outcomes for some of the least survivable cancers. I'm pleased to announce the publication of "Understanding and Addressing Prostate Cancer Disparities in Diagnosis, Treatment, and Outcomes Among Black Men" in Cancer Control Volume 31. This collaborative research explores the persistent disparities in prostate cancer outcomes experienced by Black men, including earlier diagnosis ages, higher mortality rates, and elevated risks of disease recurrence and spread. Our study identifies and examines the multifaceted causes of these disparities, including systemic mistrust in healthcare, inadequate patient-provider communication, and underrepresentation in clinical research. We propose a comprehensive approach to tackle these issues, encompassing public policy changes, community involvement, and enhanced healthcare access.
