Pride Month has begun! 🌈 You see so many companies get the bad press for showing up & supporting during this month, which seems slightly unfair. Pride is a celebration of people coming together in love & friendship, to show just how far LGBTQ+ rights have come, and how in some places there's still work to be done and that should be recognised. 👏 When the month is over I know Light & Wonder will still be supporting its Creators by: - Being passionate about its values - #CelebratePerspectives ✅ - Supporting it's Employee Resource Groups (ERGs - EMBRACE 💕) ✅ - Continually looking for ways to improve in such areas like diversity, equity & inclusion ✅ However you support/celebrate - enjoy the Month. Happy Pride Month🏳️🌈 Every year in June, the LGBTQ+ community around the world celebrates pride month and embraces the sexual identity and diversity in society. On LinkedIn in particular, many companies wrap their logo in rainbow colors to show their support for the LGBTQ+ community in their public image. But is that really enough - Is this a true statement? 🤔 In my opinion, it is a nice sign, but the question is, is it also being lived internally? Does every colleague of the company feel that they are accepted for who they are? And most importand: all year round and not just in June? Equal rights for all colleagues must not only be created on paper within the company, but also a space for them to express themselves. Inspired colleagues will takle the extra mile, will pay back with extraordinary outcomes, will push themselves out of their comfort zone to achieve outstanding results. Growth is happening outside the comfort zone. Organizational and personal. But it is essential to have this comfort zone as a starting point, where everybody can be themselves. By the way: That doesn't just apply to companies, but to society in general.
