We forget to practice self-care sometimes too. 🤗 Sometimes we forget and sometimes we make other choices rather than practicing self-care. On a particularly hard day recently, I made the decision to throw a pity party for myself rather than meditate or utilize another self-care practice. 🤗 Therapists are human too and we don’t make “the right” choices every single time. 🤗 Therapists: How’s your self-care looking these days? How could you recommit to tuning into your needs? 🤗 Clients: What’s it like to know your therapist doesn’t practice self-care perfectly? 🤗

✏ The weekly exercise is an important component of the online treatment program for both clients and therapists. Here’s why: The weekly exercise provides clients with the opportunity to reflect on their activities during the past week: What was relevant to me, and what do I bring with me from this module? When we transfer our thoughts to paper for someone else to read, something happens. It requires us to structure our thoughts, while also creating a sense of ownership over the questions themselves. For therapists, the weekly exercise serves as a valuable tool for identifying areas that are running smoothly and those that may require additional focus. What challenges are there? Is there any resistance? Following up on clients’ responses also establishes a solid foundation and structure for discussions during the weekly therapist calls.

You'll be recommended a therapy The therapy you're offered will depend on the problems you're experiencing and how severe they are. Following up after a free initial consultation And how to do it Many therapists struggle with this problem, perhaps you too. People come to the first consultation, all seems good and then they disappear. And of course, we don't want to force people into therapy. But many of them need a little nudge to make a decision. How can you help them? ✅ Be specific: Ask them whether they are interested in starting therapy anytime soon ✅ If the answer's yes, try to schedule a specific date for the next meeting ✅ If the answer's no, you can ask them if they want to explore other options or maybe there are some other factors influencing their decision. Naturally, you can't be too salesy and too pushy, but it's good to try to get some feedback from your prospective clients - it's an invaluable source of information that you can use in future conversations! And what do you do during/after the first consultation?

I’ve been asked this question a couple of times this week, and thought it would be helpful to share the answer here too….. Our team of qualified practitioners work independently from our therapy space in Hove. They have their own set availability, days/times they work, rates, and they book and arrange their own sessions. 📧You can make direct contact with a therapist via their profile on our find a therapist page. (Each have a contact link at the bottom of their profiles) 🕙You can expect a timely response to book an initial session with them. 🗓The earliest time you can expect to meet for an initial session is based entirely upon yours and their availability. Anywhere between a week - two weeks. Some therapists may have availability the very same week, it really varies. But, what you can absolutely expect is to not be waiting a very long time to start therapy.
