Here's the thing a previous manager taught me about #MedicalScienceLiaison teams-- You don't have to be like anyone else. Someone else might be smarter. A better presenter. A better relationship builder. A better clinician. A better researcher. The BEST MSL teams have a mix of: ✳️Backgrounds ✳️Personalities ✳️Strengths Keep being you, whether you are already on a team or you are an #aspiringmsl. Give this post a thumbs up if you agree that the best teams are the ones with the best mix! #medicalaffairs #pharmajobs #pharmacist #phd
Sarah, Never comparing yourself to your team members is so important! Everyone brings unique talents and strengths and the overall team functions as a collective group of highly motivated people who learn and support one another. Diversity is key!
Couldn't agree more! The best teams are those with a diverse group of individuals. It's all about leveraging individuals' strengths and learning from others to continuously improve ourselves. Also, comparison is the thief of joy and the enemy of progress! Be proud of who you are and what you bring to the table.
Wow I really needed to hear this as a new MSL! Thank you!
I have to give this post a triple thumbs up…👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾
I was just talking with my Director about this! We are so blessed to have a wonderfully diverse MA team. It allows us to use everyone’s strengths and backgrounds accordingly. I’m so grateful to all that I have and will continue to learn from my peers 🙏🙌
I think this is a great reminder for everyone! The best part of being on a team is leaning on your colleagues for their added strengths!
Well said! I couldn’t agree more.
Excellently stated!
Well said. I think this speaks to having a healthy dose of emotional intelligence in any role you embark upon. It is about bringing your best self to the team and your organization. It is also about self improvement for the good of the team.

7moIn my first job as a field application scientist, I was on a team of middle-aged men (who were great BTW). But then a woman a little older than me joined. I saw that she did everything differently than the men in her own style but was just as successful. This was eye-opening for me. That's when I realized I need to be me. Great post and reminder! Thanks!
