We are a small E&P with an exclusive focus on multi-well projects with balanced risk/return profiles split between developmental and exploratory conventional targets in the oil prone and relatively shallow, Illinois Basin. We try to offer some balance of risk/return diversification internal to each project. Our operating affiliate, Prairie Resources Inc., is currently operating wells in a couple of areas within the basin and we have identified multiple prospects in various stages of development that we are preparing to test in the near future. We have also identified a new play type, which we are testing, that has very broad potential, while offering coincident conventional targets to back it up. We like to focus on areas where a combination of structural and stratigraphic traps can offer multi-pay stacked targets with each well we propose to drill. We see the Illinois Basin as an area that is heavily-drilled, providing abundant subsurface insights, while, at the same time, being highly under-explored with respect to the application of modern geologic & geophysical models and newer proven exploitation & production technologies. Quite simply, there is an abundance of overlooked and under developed reserves, as well as deeper pool targets in known fields and new field discovery opportunities, due to the unique nature of the basin’s development history. We add multiple layers of scientific investigation to each prospect, including subsurface mapping, 2D & 3D seismic, Pre Stack AVO & Elastic Impedance Inversion Analysis, Geochemical Surveys, Remote Sensing & Surface Anomaly Analysis, as a means to high grade the prospectivity of each project. If our interests are aligned, upon the execution of an NDA, I would be happy to arrange a Zoom call presentation regarding our current project. Feel free to email or call my cell phone number below, at your convenience. controlling the direction of the drilling route is a crucial task which should be done perfectly, in large borings by TBM it's made possible by adopting many different measures, but for small scale drilling like what we see in this video that's not as easy as it appears, especially when the host ground is not homogeneous, a little deviation will result in big deviation, which becomes more critical while reaming the first run.

⚛️🚀 Cool and educational on the geotechnical technique of directional drilling 👨🏻🏫 Directional drilling is a technique used to drill non-vertical perforations, allowing precise control over the direction and angle of the drill path made in the ground. This technique is becoming more and more commonly employed in geotechnical engineering applications and trenchless technologies such as mining, oil, gas, and utility industries to access subsurface resources, avoiding obstacles, and minimize surface disturbance #science #engineering #geology #design #creativity #innovation #construction #art 🎥 By Leonardo Pontes

Syntillica offers a wide range of services around boreholes. Borehole studies are fundamental to understanding many of the fine details of a reservoir and its surrounding formations. The term "borehole imaging" refers to those logging and data-processing methods that are used to produce centimetre-scale images of the borehole wall and the rocks that make it up. The context is, therefore, that of open hole, but some of the tools are closely related to their cased-hole equivalents. Borehole imaging has been one of the most rapidly advancing technologies in wireline well logging. The applications range from detailed reservoir description through reservoir performance to enhanced hydrocarbon recovery. Specific applications are fracture identification, analysis of small-scale sedimentological features, evaluation of net pay in thinly bedded formations, and the identification of breakouts (irregularities in the borehole wall that are aligned with the minimum horizontal stress and appear where stresses around the wellbore exceed the compressive strength of the rock). Our services include: · Borehole Image Analysis · Fracture Analysis · Sedimentology · Real-time Studies · Wellbore Productivity · Tool Selection · Microscopic Analysis · Geothermal Please contact us if we can help. https://lnkd.in/e8J9-iBv #oilandgas #energy #consulting

Syntillica offers a wide range of geological services. Exploration for hydrocarbons and their development has become more challenging with each passing decade. Play fairways are more remote, trapping scenarios more complex, reservoir presence and petrophysical characteristics are more difficult to predict with certainty. Understanding the geology of the areas of interest becomes more important than ever. The depositional architecture of the sedimentary environments, facies distribution, tectonic evolution and diagenetic history all have an impact on hydrocarbon volume and flow potential. We attempt to reach this knowledge by combining traditional geological analysis and modern technology in order to produce robust models that can help in the exploration for new prospects, field development plans and identification of infill opportunities in mature fields. We offer services including geomodelling, volumetric analysis, well planning, well correlation, basin analysis, sequence stratigraphy, fractured reservoirs, structural restoration and biostratigraphy. Geophysical borehole logging is brilliant! And we’ve been up to our armpits engaged in this very activity on not one but two of our sites this week. (When I say ‘we’ obviously no one in their right mind would want me probing their hole…) We’ve been working with actual borehole geophysics EXPERTS and assisting with geophysical data acquisition to provide critical data to our consultants regarding the properties of several boreholes we’ve recently drilled and installed. (When I say ‘assisting’ - I mean, generally getting in the way in my case. Richard and Paddy (Mark Smith) have been slightly more useful.) What is geophysical borehole logging - I hear you ask? It’s an essential ‘thing’ that helps us understand more about the construction, nature and properties of a borehole. In both cases this week, we’ve conducted geophysical logging of our newly drilled boreholes to verify the construction meets the required standards (it does). Additionally, the data collected has enabled our design engineers to gain a comprehensive understanding of each well's characteristics. Through a survey, we can also confirm that a borehole has been drilled according to the correct specifications, including borehole diameter and casing - or that it intersects with what its intended to intersect with, such as an aquifer. You don’t want your drilling to go all skewwhiff and end up penetrating something accidentally. Data gathered can also provide insights into the quality of the water a borehole will yield, giving information on things like salinity, flow, and water table height. If I remember right, we’ve done: Calliper Gamma Impeller flow (with an agitated flow property) Cement bond log And CCTV I asked Richard to try and explain it all a bit more for me, and he said the data will be used by our consultant to fully understand where flow horizons enter the borehole…flow horizons...that somehow romantic to me. And it will enable us to use the data during the design phase of the next boreholes on site - which is also brilliant. It’s all drilling, drilling, drilling, probing, probing, probing these days. Exhausting stuff. Shout out to Julian Hatherall from JH Ground water for his patience! And here's a rig picture for all your plant fanciers. #BoreholeGeophysics #WaterWell #WaterBorehole #GroundSourceHeating #Drilling #Probing #AndSoOn
