Our team's yearly reflections continue and who else to weigh in with their end-of-the-year reflections on the almighty AI if not our Digital Creative Lead, Viktor Kharyton — the scale and impact of producing our AI Unmasked toolkit made it one of his most memorable projects this year: "We've made it — a toolkit making a case for AI adoption across industries, across enterprises… across any organizations. Top-down or bottom-up, it will happen, and we jumped on to tell you the WHYs and HOWs. I am glad that we, for some, a team of communicators and creatives, went beyond the comms niche and dug in deeper to write about the overarching effects of AI in our work. I, for one, would not be able to put on a serious face and say — "that's for content creators only." Cause it's not. Mind my words and those sharing their stories in our publication: whatever your daily routine and task lists look like today — open them up for AI integration. How? Well, read on!" Read on, indeed. There’s no excuse not to experiment with AI right now It’s mind-blowing that after two years of nonstop AI hype, many executives still haven’t taken the leap to try it themselves Too often, they dismiss AI as just a tool for entry-level employees to automate mundane tasks On the flip side, a few executives are using AI (not just talking about it) as a launchpad to rethink their business models and unlock new opportunities Here are some strategic use cases for AI at the executive level: • Advanced business intelligence analysis • Deep competitive and market research • Smarter roadmap planning connected to customer feedback and ROI potential The executives who embrace AI today are positioning their companies to thrive tomorrow Said differently, the leaders who don't embrace AI today might kill their companies tomorrow Image credit: Gary Vaynerchuk

Check out this optimisitc opinion on the #future of #AI in Media Voices. And how smart teams can use AI to free up time to develop their teams. Thanks for the solid advice Ian Betteridge. “If AI allows efficiencies of 20-30%, you want to focus on development. Development is something that teams habitually don’t spend enough time doing… ......and when you’re in a position like this where we’re going through a big technology, cultural and business change, you need to give people time to go and find out more, and work out how it impacts on them. We’ve now got the opportunity to do more to develop our teams than we’ve ever had before.” “It futureproofs you. If you’ve got teams that are actually learning more about technology, and learning about different ways of doing things… then you’re going to be better prepared for whatever the future throws at us.” Read the full aricle here: https://lnkd.in/emSauKf8

“Just use AI” Let’s get one thing out of the way; I definitely believe that AI will revolutionize the way we work. And soon we will do more, better quality work, with less. I just ask of decision makers one thing, give your talent time to grow into it and help them along way. Flashback 18 years ago, I was starting my career in advertising. At that time the industry realized the “traditional” age (defined by the 30-second advertisement and the newspaper ad) was dying and the “digital” age was here to stay. A seismic change was upon us, one that the Mad Men industry had not witnessed since its inception. What did the smart leadership do? Did they fire their talent and replaced them with new, digitally native people? No, they trained and incentivized their talent and hired key people in leadership roles to set the tone. They knew then, as I know now, that what matters most is the basics and not how to use software. Technology can and should be taught/ learnt, then layered on top of strong fundamentals, and then the magic happens! We’re all too familiar with those meetings where headcount reduction decisions are made with the justification that “AI will make up for their contribution”. The classic case of businesses looking at AI as the magic bullet that allows a production budget to be cut by a factor of ten while expecting the same outcome; “Just use AI” is the overused sentence of our time, one that has caused oh so many people to feel powerless and resigned. If you believe in AI – and you should – then mandate your training teams/ department heads to map out a strategy to upscale your talent and create positions within your organizations with the aim of staying at the forefront of the technology. This will require an investment in time and resources but the return on investment should be quick; especially since the world seems sold on it already (wink wink)! Let me know if you have faced similar experiences lately! Photo by Almos Bechtold on Unsplash

What about using AI to find the right people rather than the right answer? We are all captivated by the promise of AI, geting swept up in the idea of finding the "right answers." But what if the true power of AI isn't just in delivering solutions, but in identifying the right people to tackle the challenges? Wizer is pioneering a shift from AI that dictates, to AI that facilitates. Instead of replacing human insight, we use AI to enhance it by ensuring the right mix of diversity and expertise is brought to every decision. This approach leverages AI to enrich the decision-making process, not to override it. I am pro people for decisions. Why focus on the people? Because complex problems need diverse thinking. AI can help map out which voices might be missing from the conversation, ensuring a fuller, more rounded approach to problem-solving. It's about amplifying human potential, not overshadowing it. What's your take on this? Can AI truly enhance our decision-making by helping us assemble the best teams, or are there limits to its role in the human domain? #AI #DecisionMaking #Leadership #DiversityInTech #Innovation https://lnkd.in/gcNmxt66
AI in Decision-Making: Enhancing or Overstepping? AI is everywhere, and it's the hot topic at every virtual water cooler and real-world conference. But when it comes to decision-making, how far should we let AI reach? Should AI decide your next dinner date or even your company's next strategic acquisition? At Wizer, we believe in the power of AI to enhance, not replace, human insight. Our unique platform uses AI to ensure the right mix of expertise and diversity is present in every decision-making panel. We're not about letting AI make the decisions; we're about letting it find the best people who should.
