The beauty of Projects work is in the variety of locations and fields one can work. This picture was taken in September 2022 in Hwange when our team went for a Site Layout Plan for a Coking Coal Plant on Virgin land. How awesome it is to note that in December 2023, The plant was now starting production as construction continues on the rest of the site. Proud to have been part of the ground work on the 300Tonne per month coking plant ground breaking.

Duo Group has agreed to establish processing plants at up to seven SigmaRoc limestone quarries to reprocess historically uneconomical quarry tip waste into a premium construction material. Under the agreement, Duo Group will install large reprocessing plants to cover material preparation and processing, load and haul, plant operation, and material dispatch. SigmaRoc will make available all unprocessed “tipped” materials that previously held no commercial value. SigmaRoc says that the arrangement has the potential to generate more than £150m incremental revenue over the course of the 10-year alliance and move it closer to its ambition of using 100% of the resource it quarries.

McQuillan Quarries’ Sustainable Upgrade to Asphalt Production Over the July shutdown period, McQuillan Quarries installed two new burners to both asphalt plants in Budore and Edentrillick Quarries. The new burners were installed by Vulcan Asphalt Group during the July shutdown period in order to minimise any impact on their customer’s operations. With state-of-the-art burner technology combined with system upgrades, the new project boasts the following advantages. • Increased fuel efficiency (up to 10%) • Ease of use for operator • Added reactive Burner Management System • Safer and more accessible maintenance • Integrated Silencer to reduce impact on our neighbours • Quad Fuel capability for additional future fuels such as LPG, BioLPG, Hydrogen, rDME etc. In addition to the carbon reductions from the fuel saved, intrinsic to the tendering process was for McQuillan Quarries to be ready for alternatives to fossil fuels. Vulcan have provided a burner that can switched to burn fuels such as hydrogen when the alternatives are readily available. All of the works were carried out to programme by Vulcan Asphalt Group NI team, and well done to Quarry Staff for overseeing the smooth installation of the project. #buylocal #Quarry #Asphalt #Asphaltproduction #sustainableasphalt

🌍 What can be done to reduce carbon dioxide equivalents (CO2e) in foundation drilling? 🌍 Reducing CO2e in foundation drilling is crucial for minimizing the environmental impact of construction projects. One step in the right direction is to use drilling tools for drilled piles in foundations with a lower CO2e footprint in as many foundation drilling projects as possible. This is something what is available in RDT's GreenLine drilling tools product family. #RDTGreenLine 📊 Here’s a comparison of the CO2e for a drilling tool (for full ring sets) for piles in the dimension of 139.7mm: Nordic standard: 🔹 Ring set 140/10 = 17.94 kg CO2e per ring set GreenLine version: 🔹 Ring set 140/10 = 1.65 kg CO2e per ring set At #RDTdrilling, we believe this is a great starting point towards sustainable construction! 🌱 👉 Explore the full range of GreenLine products and join us in making construction more sustainable. Have you ever thought about the fact that only 5 % of the world's sand deposits are suitable for mortar and concrete production? Gravel and sand are not renewable resources, so we have to use them sparingly. Putzmeister Middle East - even where sand is available in abundance, it can only be used for mortar and concrete to a limited extent due to its composition. Our TransMix - The mobile screed factory with over 16 different recipe input options helps to ensure that the raw material sand is precisely dosed and that no surplus material is left on the construction site at the end of the process Putzmeister Group - We are strongly focused on using our technology to conserve resources when using materials on construction sites

Green cement can reduce the carbon emissions by up to 40% by using a carbon - negative manufacturing process. #Fortera, a Silicon Valley tech company just opened the first green cement factory in the USA and vows to reduce the carbon emissions by 70%. How is done? The CO2 is mineralized into a reactive form of calcium carbonate that can be used in the cement. The process speeds up carbon mineralization, which naturally occurs over thousands of years, in order to remove more CO2 in a shorter amount of time. The Forteta plant can capture 6,600 tons of CO2 and produce 15,000 tons of ReAct cement each year and is planning to integrate green energy sources to achieve zero net. #fortera #contech #proptech #building #construction #zeronet #ReAct #siliconvalley #california #usa #siliconvalleyproptechassociation
#Fortera opens the first commercial green cement factory in Northern California. Reducing carbon emissions in the construction industry is an important mission for innovative Contech companies. The construction and building sector accounts for approximately 37% of greenhouse gas emissions, by using materials such as cement, steel and aluminium and equipment that requires a lot of energy use. #contech #proptech #fortera #greencement #constructions #buildings #realestate #carbonemissions #zeronet #esg #california #siliconvalley #usa https://lnkd.in/daezGbGW
