Developing future-ready commercial buildings to be sustainable and efficient

“In order to future proof buildings from being stranded soon, we shouldn't merely focus on elevating the EPC rating from C to B. Instead, we should adopt a different approach and make it look better physically and operationally,” said our CEO Sascha Lewin at the NLA’s Rescue Mission panel debate organised by Max Fordham LLP. With nearly 60% of office stock in London having an EPC rating of C or below, sustainable upgrades and retrofitting have become more of a necessity rather than a choice. “We need a balance between social and economic benefits while we think of low carbon retrofit of buildings,” said Sascha explaining the importance of low carbon footprint.
