SMEs can currently get up to 50% matched funding on AI skills investment with the government's new AI Upskilling Fund, and the deadline to apply has just been extended to 18 August.  The aim of the scheme is to subsidise the cost of AI skills training for UK-based SMEs. Here is what you get, depending on the size of your business: ➡  50% off AI Skills Training ➡  Funding up to £10,000 ➡  Training at any level, from foundational skills helping you understand how AI can be used in business to advanced technical skills allowing you to design and develop AI tools themselves. For full transparency, I am both a non-executive director of the Department for Science, Innovation and Technology and a member of the Department for Business and Trade’s SME Digital Adoption Taskforce. I really believe this is a great opportunity for small and medium-sized businesses to improve their team’s AI skills, without having to shoulder too much of the cost themselves. Nearly all of us are going to need to have some form of AI know-how in order to do our jobs in the future, so initiatives that help SMEs scale their businesses and their employees’ AI skills at the same time are going to become more and more important. https://bit.ly/4eaGsDx
