Mental health and Well-being in hotels is a serious issue (Especially in your HOD team.)   We all need to do better.       (Maybe then we won’t have as many people leaving the industry)       Here are my 5 to help your teams thrive that don’t cost (**additional) money:   Nutritious staff food** (Sounds simple, but do you do it?) Proper signposting (Share resources to help them) Considered Workflows (Make it easier to perform) Open and respectful environment (This one is ❤️) Personal development (Let them know their purpose) Understand team sentiment (Every week not once a year!)       What are your tips to improve the well-being of your business?       Drop them in the comments below 👇🏼 P.S. Don’t forget, The Burnt Chef Project  has a free 24-hour support service If you do one thing today, display this in your team notice boards Text 𝗕𝗨𝗥𝗡𝗧𝗖𝗛𝗘𝗙 to 𝟴𝟱𝟮𝟱𝟴 (UK) Text 𝗛𝗢𝗠𝗘 to 𝟳𝟰𝟭𝟳𝟰𝟭 (USA & Canada) Text 𝗛𝗜 on WhatsApp to +𝟬𝟬 𝟯𝟱𝟯 𝟴𝟳 𝟯𝟲𝟵 𝟬𝟬𝟭𝟬 (Ireland) Text 𝟱𝟲𝟮𝟲 (New Zealand) Call 𝟭𝟯 𝟭𝟭 𝟭𝟰 (Australia) #mentalhealthawareness #hotels  #hospitality #mentalhealth

Proper signposting (Share resources to help them) - I get asked monthly about this.....so many companies and teams do not even know where to get help, like from The Burnt Chef Project and what is available. 👏 👏 👏

You can fix that with good leadership! When you actually talk to employees they will tell you that they don’t need more initiatives what they need is poor leaders to be fired and have good ones. That’s it! Pump all your money in leadership development and don’t be afraid to fire them when they don’t meet the mark. That’s there is to it nothing more. As an ex hotelier it was always the leader that made my life either amazing or terrible never the work or the customers.

Life has various ways to show your strengths. Being able to acknowledge what makes you tick - and uncomfortable matters so much. You are definitely not alone. And when hotels take the initiative to help and support those who may not necessarily initiate the action, that changes things. Great share Scot 👏🏿👏🏿
