Every guest is special to us, and we cherish the time we spend together. We are always looking for ways to honor this sacred and special time for both our guests and their loved ones. When entering our Home, visitors will now have a special reminder that is lit only when one of our guests is preparing for their journey home. Being mindful of your presence may look like taking an extra moment to breathe. It may look like letting go of the other cares of the day and quieting yourself. As leaders, there is a lot we can learn from Simone Biles. She is undeniably the leader of the US women’s Olympic gymnastics team. 1) The importance of recognizing and addressing your limits. Many people tout leaning into your strengths. While that is importance for deciding what roles are most suitable for you to succeed (e.g. Simone chose gymnastics over swimming), once you have selected a role, to become truly excellent, we have to recognize and address what is holding us back. Simone took two years off from gymnastics to work on strengthening her mental fitness and it paid off. 2) How to lift others up. She is the GOAT of gymnastics but instead bowed to a competitor.
