Sometimes a mission is very difficult to achieve but doable if you believe in the vision.

Great vision without Great People to align with the vision is a waste of time.

The mission statement should be realistic enough and should have enough strength, that even when a very new person come to know that want to have that one as well.

The pursuit of purpose vs. mission differs in that our purpose is the “what” and our mission is the “how”. A purpose without a mission is like a good intention with no plan to get there. If we know our purpose, we will be limited in achieving it if our mission has never been defined.

MISSION | VISION | VALUES The idiom “don’t lose sight of the big picture” encourages us to reflect and maintain awareness of the overall mission/goal when dealing with the smaller, day-to-day challenges. Sanford I. Weill says “details create the big picture”. However, arguably, the big picture or overall mission/goal must dictate the detailed actions and behaviors necessary to achieve the mission/goal. There must be congruency or harmony between the two. Whenever there is bi-directional misalignment between the two it creates confusion and the overall mission/goal is jeopardized. It may seem obvious, but this is true in business and in our personal lives. Sometimes I/we need a reminder! Take time to genuinely reflect on the mission/goal. What adjustments need to be made in your business or your personal life to ensure you achieve your overall mission/goal?
