🌈 What Organic Pigments are Used in Plastic PVC? 🌈 ➡ PVC is an important general-purpose thermoplastic material with a wide range of uses, including commonly used low-end and high-end fields with special performance requirements such as building materials, automobiles, doors and windows, etc. Due to its low processing and molding temperature, various types of organic pigments can be used Coloring is carried out, but the colorant should still be selected based on the processing conditions, the final use of the colored product, etc., and of course, the phenomenon of blooming when coloring PVC must be avoided. The blooming phenomenon when coloring PVC can be considered to be caused by the partial dissolution of the organic pigment as a colorant at the processing temperature and the recrystallization of the pigment at room temperature. This phenomenon also exists in other polyolefin plastics, especially for In soft PVC materials, the added plasticizer increases the solubility of the colorant in it, making it easier to produce blooming. As the processing temperature increases, the blooming phenomenon becomes more serious; furthermore, because the pigment and PVC The compatibility between them is not ideal, especially when certain additives are contained, which will lead to oversaturation of the pigment and surface precipitation. PVC coloring can use different grades of organic pigments according to different requirements: ➡ 1. General-purpose colorant, with good economy, but average durability (yellow and red) varieties include Benzidine Yellow G, Permanent Yellow G, Permanent Yellow GR, Red Toner C, Fast Scarlet Bright BBN, Brilliant Red 2BP , Carmine Red 7B. ➡ 2. Colorants (yellow and red) with excellent performance include Pigment Yellow 83 and Pigment Red 254. ➡ 3. Blue colors include Phthalocyanine Blue B and Phthalocyanine Blue BGS. ➡ 4. Green includes Phthalocyanine Green G. #Colorsunshinepigment #organicpigment #organicpigments #EffectPigments #Pigments #pigmentexperts #ColorPigments #PigmentManufacturing #ColorfulCreations #PigmentSuppliers #PigmentTechnology #PigmentPowders #PigmentProduction #ColorfulSolutions

🌈 PVC Wire and Cable Coloring Precautions 🌈 In the coloring of PVC wires and cables, taking into account the characteristics of the resin and related additives used, combined with the performance characteristics of the pigments, only by selecting the appropriate pigment can the ideal coloring effect be obtained. The following issues need to be paid attention to when coloring PVC wires and cables: 🔴 1. Light Resistance Organic pigments with different molecular structures have different light resistance. Under sunlight, due to the ultraviolet radiation in sunlight and the presence of substances such as oxygen and water, the molecular structure of the colorant is destroyed, causing fading or discoloration. Therefore, the more stable the molecular structure of organic pigments, the better the light resistance. The light resistance of organic pigments used for coloring PVC wires and cables should be above level 5. As the amount of organic pigments increases, the light resistance improves. Light resistance is not only related to the molecular structure and dosage of organic pigments, but also to the dosage of plasticizer. Generally speaking, as the amount of plasticizer increases, the light resistance decreases. 🔴 2. Heat Resistance When the temperature rises, the solubility of organic pigments in PVC can be improved. However, due to the different temperature resistance of organic pigments, their coloring effects are also different. Some pigments change color when heated. Therefore, be sure to choose organic pigments with excellent temperature resistance as colorants. 🔴 3. Dispersion Organic pigments used for PVC wires and cables must have good dispersion. Generally, the dispersion of organic pigments is better than that of inorganic pigments. Dispersibility has a direct impact on the brightness of organic pigments. Colors with poor dispersion are not bright and have low tinting power. Therefore, organic pigments with good dispersion should be selected. 🔴 4. Migration The mobility of organic pigments refers to the displacement of colored particles in the colored system, especially the phenomenon of moving from the inside of the colored body to the surface. This displacement situation is most prominent in PVC coloring systems. The migration of organic pigments in PVC wires and cables can usually be divided into four situations, namely scaling, floating color, bleeding and powdering. The first phenomenon occurs directly during the coloring process, and the remaining three occur during the use of the coloring material. #Colorsunshinepigment #organicpigment #organicpigments #EffectPigments #Pigments #pigmentexperts #ColorPigments #PigmentManufacturing #ColorfulCreations #PigmentSuppliers #PigmentTechnology #PigmentPowders #PigmentProduction #ColorfulSolutions

Pigment Yellow refers to a category of colorants used in various industries, such as paints, inks, plastics, and other materials, to impart a yellow color. These pigments can be either organic or inorganic compounds, and they come in a variety of chemical compositions. The term encompasses a wide range of yellow pigments, each with its own specific properties and applications. Some common types of Pigment Yellow include: Diarylide Yellow Pigments: These are organic pigments that are widely used for their bright yellow shades. They are known for their high tinting strength and good lightfastness. Benzimidazolone Yellow Pigments: Another group of organic pigments, benzimidazolone yellows offer a range of yellow shades and are valued for their lightfastness and color stability. Isoindolinone Yellow Pigments: These are organic pigments known for their bright and clean yellow hues. They are often used in high-performance applications due to their excellent lightfastness and durability. Inorganic Yellow Pigments: Some inorganic pigments, like various metal oxides, can also be used to produce yellow colors. For example, cadmium sulfide is a well-known inorganic pigment that imparts a bright yellow color. The choice of Pigment Yellow depends on factors such as the desired color shade, the intended application, and the characteristics required for the specific end product. Pigments are typically insoluble particles that are dispersed in a medium, providing color by reflecting or absorbing certain wavelengths of light. It's important to note that the use of certain pigments may be subject to regulations, especially in industries like food and cosmetics, to ensure safety and compliance with standards. #yellow #pigments #colorful #color #chemicals #BlogPost Jagson

🌅 How high temperatures can organic pigments withstand? 🌄 🔴 Depending on the application scope and coloring objects of organic pigments, in addition to sufficient light resistance, weather resistance, solvent resistance, and migration resistance, they should also have satisfactory heat resistance, that is, at a certain temperature and for a certain period of time. , the pigment does not undergo obvious changes in color light and color strength. In particular, organic pigments used for coloring synthetic resins, plastics, rubber, coatings, etc. should have excellent thermal stability. 🔴 For example, organic pigments used for rubber coloring should have certain thermal stability at the reaction temperature of the vulcanization process; organic pigments used for resin coloring (including masterbatch colorant puree coloring) should not change the color at the processing and molding temperature; Pigments used as food additives do not decompose during the sterilization process at high temperatures. 🔴 Since different types of resins are processed and molded at different temperatures, resin coloring pigments are usually used for processing at higher temperatures. It must have higher thermal stability, such as polytetrafluoroethylene, polyethylene and other resins. The processing temperature is above 250℃. Pigments with good heat resistance should be selected to achieve satisfactory coloring effects. 🔴 Organic pigments with good temperature resistance include Red 254, a neutral red with good solvent resistance and light fastness up to level 8. It is mainly used in automotive primers and can also be used for coloring plastics (PVC, PS, polyolefin). Heat resistance stability 250℃/20min. 🔴 Organic Pigment Yellow 83, red light yellow, has excellent light resistance, heat resistance, solvent resistance and migration resistance. It is suitable for various printing inks and automotive coatings, latex paints, plastics, wood coloring, art pigments, etc. It has heat resistance and stability. 250℃/20min. There are also Pigment Yellow 139, Pigment Red 122, Phthalocyanine Blue, and Phthalocyanine Green, which all have better heat resistance and stability. #Colorsunshinepigment #organicpigment #organicpigments #EffectPigments #Pigments #pigmentexperts #ColorPigments #PigmentManufacturing #ColorfulCreations #PigmentSuppliers #PigmentTechnology #PigmentPowders #PigmentProduction #ColorfulSolutions

#POLYMERS #PIGMENTS_DYES #CHEMISTRY ? What is the difference between pigments& dyes 𝐏𝐈𝐆𝐌𝐄𝐍𝐓𝐒 are finely ground, organic/inorganic solid particles that impart color when dispersed into a material. They are 𝐈𝐍𝐒𝐎𝐋𝐔𝐁𝐋𝐄 in the medium they are dispersed into and rely on their inherent color to provide the desired hue and tint in the final product. 𝐃𝐘𝐄𝐒, on the other hand, are 𝐒𝐎𝐋𝐔𝐁𝐋𝐄 organic colorants that permeate the material, coloring it through absorption with the base polymer. Dyes are usually liquid and work by dissolving into the plastic, much like mixing food coloring into water. Their particle size is much smaller than Pigments. But, how are Pigments classified and which one should I choose? 1. 𝐎𝐫𝐠𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐜 𝐏𝐢𝐠𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬: These are carbon-based colorants that are often used when BRIGHT color shades with high TINT strength are required. They are further divided into: Polycyclic, Mono/Di-Azo and Metal Salts. Ex: Yellow Anthra-quinone, Orange Benzimid-azolone, Red-Diazo, Blue Pthalo-cyanine etc. 2. 𝐈𝐧𝐨𝐫𝐠𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐜 𝐏𝐢𝐠𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬: These are Metal oxide/Sulphide based colorants that are easier to disperse in the base polymer and offer excellent heat stability, light fastness, weather ability & opacity compared to Organic Pigments. Ex: Yellow Lead Chromate, Orange Cadmium Sulphide, Ultramarine Blue, Red Iron Oxide etc. 𝐂𝐀𝐑𝐁𝐎𝐍 𝐁𝐋𝐀𝐂𝐊 is the majorly used pigment for black and 𝐓𝐈𝐓𝐀𝐍𝐈𝐔𝐌 𝐃𝐈𝐎𝐗𝐈𝐃𝐄 for white colors. Examples of Dyes: Azo Dye, Oil Blue/Oil Red Anthra-quinone etc.

Comparison of #OrganicPigments and #InorganicPigments in #RubberColoring 🔴 With the continuous development of the national economy, rubber-colored products have also evolved from single color to colorful, and from dark black products to bright multi-chromatic colors. The same is true for the rubber shoe industry. Colored rain boots, children's boots, snow boots and other products from many manufacturers have entered the international market in large quantities. Therefore, the coloring of rubber products is facing newer and higher requirements. It turns out that using dry pigment powder for coloring can no longer meet the high quality requirements of products. In particular, rubber cables have special requirements for their electrical properties. Generally, using dry pigment powder will cause a reduction in their electrical properties. If the type of pigment selected is inappropriate or the pigment particles are too hard and too thick, it will also cause quality problems such as color spots, streaks or mutual contamination of the chromatogram. The birth of rubber colorants has improved the performance of rubber coloring and improved the quality of colored products. 🔴 Products made of different rubber materials and products made of the same rubber material but made by different processes have different requirements for coloring pigments. Pigments that can color rubber products are divided into two categories: inorganic pigments and organic pigments. Inorganic pigments are mainly iron, chromium, cadmium, titanium and other compounds, among which carbon black, titanium dioxide and calcium carbonate are used in the largest amounts. The chemical composition of organic pigments is relatively complex, and organic pigments are generally used for coloring rubber products. 🔴 In addition to ultramarine blue, rubber coloring is selected and applied based on the properties of two types of pigments. Generally, rubber products use more organic pigments. Organic pigments are used as rubber colorants, mainly insoluble azo pigments, azo lake pigments, phthalocyanine pigments, and dioxazine pigments. 🔴 In addition to the requirements for organic pigments in terms of hue, tinting strength, heat resistance, migration resistance, acid and alkali resistance and oxidation resistance, the coloring of rubber products also requires attention to the following five points. (1) Lake organic pigments are not suitable for coloring latex products (2) Insoluble monoazo pigments are not suitable for coloring rubber products treated with solvents such as benzene. (3) Pigments with a free ketone content of >50 mg/kg are not suitable for coloring rubber products using phenolic resin as a vulcanizing agent. (4) Pigments containing heavy metals should not be used for coloring rubber products. (5) Medium and low-grade pigments are not suitable for coloring rubber wires and cables. #Colorsunshinepigment #EffectPigments #pigmentexperts #ColorPigments #PigmentManufacturing
