Cold brand reactive dyes are a type of highly colored organic substance used to tint textiles. They attach to their substrates through a chemical reaction that forms a covalent bond between the dye molecule and the fiber. Cold brand reactive dyes are also known as dichlorotriazine-based dyes. They are more reactive than monochloro dyes and require a lower temperature and milder alkali for application. Cold brand dyes are very reactive and have high fastness properties. They require careful control and should only be used where the dyeing process can be fully automated. The batchwise dyeing temperature of cold brand dyes for optimal fixation is 300–400°C. For applications and fixation, these dyes require milder alkaline conditions at an optimum temperature of 25–35°C. Reactive Dyes - DAYGLO M' SERIES DYES These are called 'COLD BRAND DYES'. These dyes are having very good reactivity fastness properties. These dyes require milder alkaline conditions for applications & fixation at the optimum temperature of 25-35 deg c. 🌈 What Organic Pigments are Used in Plastic PVC? 🌈 ➡ PVC is an important general-purpose thermoplastic material with a wide range of uses, including commonly used low-end and high-end fields with special performance requirements such as building materials, automobiles, doors and windows, etc. Due to its low processing and molding temperature, various types of organic pigments can be used Coloring is carried out, but the colorant should still be selected based on the processing conditions, the final use of the colored product, etc., and of course, the phenomenon of blooming when coloring PVC must be avoided. The blooming phenomenon when coloring PVC can be considered to be caused by the partial dissolution of the organic pigment as a colorant at the processing temperature and the recrystallization of the pigment at room temperature. This phenomenon also exists in other polyolefin plastics, especially for In soft PVC materials, the added plasticizer increases the solubility of the colorant in it, making it easier to produce blooming. As the processing temperature increases, the blooming phenomenon becomes more serious; furthermore, because the pigment and PVC The compatibility between them is not ideal, especially when certain additives are contained, which will lead to oversaturation of the pigment and surface precipitation. PVC coloring can use different grades of organic pigments according to different requirements: ➡ 1. General-purpose colorant, with good economy, but average durability (yellow and red) varieties include Benzidine Yellow G, Permanent Yellow G, Permanent Yellow GR, Red Toner C, Fast Scarlet Bright BBN, Brilliant Red 2BP , Carmine Red 7B. ➡ 2. Colorants (yellow and red) with excellent performance include Pigment Yellow 83 and Pigment Red 254. ➡ 3. Blue colors include Phthalocyanine Blue B and Phthalocyanine Blue BGS. ➡ 4. Green includes Phthalocyanine Green G. #Colorsunshinepigment #organicpigment #organicpigments #EffectPigments #Pigments #pigmentexperts #ColorPigments #PigmentManufacturing #ColorfulCreations #PigmentSuppliers #PigmentTechnology #PigmentPowders #PigmentProduction #ColorfulSolutions

Optimizing Alkali Use in Cellulose Dyeing with Reactive Dyes in Exhaust Dyeing Systems. In the dyeing of cellulose fibers using reactive dyes, the role of alkali is pivotal as it acts as a catalyst, facilitating the reaction between the dye and the fiber. However, the critical factor is not merely the type or amount of alkali used but rather the precise control of the dyebath's pH, which requires close supervision. The optimal pH for dyeing is temperature-dependent. For instance, a pH of approximately 11.5 is ideal for warm dyeing at around 60°C, while a pH range of 10-11 is more suitable for hot dyeing at 80°C. Conversely, cold dyeing at 40°C requires a higher pH of about 12.5. This relationship between temperature and optimum pH is illustrated in the accompanying graph. Soda ash is frequently employed in the dyeing process, as 20g/l typically achieves a pH of around 11.5. For instances where a higher or lower pH is necessary, soda ash can be used in conjunction with other agents—sodium phosphate or caustic soda for raising pH, and sodium bicarbonate (baking soda) for lowering it. While caustic soda is a strong alkali and poses challenges in maintaining a pH within the 10-12 range, it can still be utilized effectively if accurate pH adjustment is possible, particularly with the aid of automatic equipment. Recently, specialized alkaline agents have been developed specifically for reactive dyeing. These agents, typically available in liquid form, offer convenience by adjusting the dyebath pH to an optimal level for reactive dyes. However, the choice of alkaline agent should be carefully considered, taking into account the required pH for the specific dyeing temperature. It is also important to monitor the pH of the dyebath not only at the start but also after dyeing, as an insufficient quantity of alkali can result in a significant drop in pH by the end of the process. Accurate pH control throughout the dyeing cycle is essential for achieving consistent and high-quality dyeing results.

🌈 PVC Wire and Cable Coloring Precautions 🌈 In the coloring of PVC wires and cables, taking into account the characteristics of the resin and related additives used, combined with the performance characteristics of the pigments, only by selecting the appropriate pigment can the ideal coloring effect be obtained. The following issues need to be paid attention to when coloring PVC wires and cables: 🔴 1. Light Resistance Organic pigments with different molecular structures have different light resistance. Under sunlight, due to the ultraviolet radiation in sunlight and the presence of substances such as oxygen and water, the molecular structure of the colorant is destroyed, causing fading or discoloration. Therefore, the more stable the molecular structure of organic pigments, the better the light resistance. The light resistance of organic pigments used for coloring PVC wires and cables should be above level 5. As the amount of organic pigments increases, the light resistance improves. Light resistance is not only related to the molecular structure and dosage of organic pigments, but also to the dosage of plasticizer. Generally speaking, as the amount of plasticizer increases, the light resistance decreases. 🔴 2. Heat Resistance When the temperature rises, the solubility of organic pigments in PVC can be improved. However, due to the different temperature resistance of organic pigments, their coloring effects are also different. Some pigments change color when heated. Therefore, be sure to choose organic pigments with excellent temperature resistance as colorants. 🔴 3. Dispersion Organic pigments used for PVC wires and cables must have good dispersion. Generally, the dispersion of organic pigments is better than that of inorganic pigments. Dispersibility has a direct impact on the brightness of organic pigments. Colors with poor dispersion are not bright and have low tinting power. Therefore, organic pigments with good dispersion should be selected. 🔴 4. Migration The mobility of organic pigments refers to the displacement of colored particles in the colored system, especially the phenomenon of moving from the inside of the colored body to the surface. This displacement situation is most prominent in PVC coloring systems. The migration of organic pigments in PVC wires and cables can usually be divided into four situations, namely scaling, floating color, bleeding and powdering. The first phenomenon occurs directly during the coloring process, and the remaining three occur during the use of the coloring material. #Colorsunshinepigment #organicpigment #organicpigments #EffectPigments #Pigments #pigmentexperts #ColorPigments #PigmentManufacturing #ColorfulCreations #PigmentSuppliers #PigmentTechnology #PigmentPowders #PigmentProduction #ColorfulSolutions
