I have worked from home for the last 8 years and love the flexibility. Some days I miss the relationships that happen when you go to the office, have lunch in a break room, or just stop by a desk to ask a quick question. Quick tips for your home office: * Have a dedicated workspace (not your dining room table or island). * If you leave your computer on, mute your sound after the work day to resist the temptation of those notifications * Take breaks - even 5 minutes of standing can build your resiliency for those long days when you have to stay at your desk. * Go out to lunch occasionally with a friend or colleague to keep up your network and see a friendly face.
