Something often overlooked in bringing in new talent to our space is that we're not just competing against ourselves in the ecosystem; we're also competing with many other industries. However you describe it, clean tech, smart buildings, building automation, and climate tech aren't the only industries short on talent; most industries are either in or heading into a talent crisis. And that's why we need to do a better job of telling our story so that we (royal we) can attract new individuals to join the space. If we don't, the scenario in 10 years could be that there's no one to do the work. Which is crazy. And I don't think technology is the 'silver bullet'. We're working through some ideas at LMC to change this, but we'll need a collective industry effort to do so... More soon. #climatetech #smartbuildings #buildingautomation
