The dedication and research of 150+ scientists, over the better part of a decade, led to the genesis of STREAC: the proprietary technology from Xenesis, our R&D core, which powers all of INERA's products. Signal Triggered Regenerative Activation Complex (STREAC) does exactly what it says. Upon application, our proprietary complex of activators surrounds the crop's rooting systems. Anytime a stress signal is received in the root environment, a unique complex is activated, which helps roots combat or optimize its implications on the crop. For example, if the stimulus of soil salinity is detected in the root environment, the STREAC complex will respond with an enzymatic code, which will augment the root performance in saline soil. Similarly, if pathogens are detected, they will trigger the code of defense to foster a shield-like barrier around the roots. Using innovative technologies like STREAC we aim to reimagine Agriculture for better produce, and a better tomorrow. . . . . . #SustainableAgriculture #InnovativeAgriculture #LivingSoil #ReviveSoil #sustainablefarming #bioagriculture #inera #decarbonisation #paddy #builtwithbiology #xenesis #sustainability #agriculture #farming #healthyfood #innovation #biorevolution #greenhousegases #nature #research #absolute #forpeople #forplanet #soil #inera #farmers #indianfarmer

"I'm stunned by the transformation in the health of the habitat and ecosystems at Arnprior over the course of just a few years. It's full of insects and birds and the bees kept on the site do really well because the area is free of pesticides and herbicides." Case in point? This video by our friends at Gees Bees Honey Company, taken on site at our Arnprior Solar Project. Read about the many benefits of combining agriculture and solar: https://lnkd.in/gANBJzrP

Excess fertilizer nutrients from agricultural fields, namely nitrogen and phosphorus, enter water systems resulting in “eutrophication” – when too many nutrients in the water create toxic conditions for aquatic wildlife. In our recent collaboration with Superorganism, we explored the critical issue of nutrient pollution from agriculture and its impact on ecosystems. The report highlights innovative AgTech solutions to tackle this challenge, including using precision farming techniques, genetically engineering crops to require less fertilizer, and enhancing plant-microbe interactions. Adopting strategies like these along with other responsible management practices can help conserve #biodiversity around the world. Together, we can make a difference for a healthier planet. 🌱 Learn more --> https://bit.ly/3RXnvuA #AgTech #ClimateAction #AlgaeBloom #GenerationRestoration

UCC will participate in a transformational new project to pioneer innovative, peatland-based, multitrophic aquaculture (IMTA) in Co. Offaly 🌱🐟 The Mount Lucas Circular Bioeconomy Aquaculture Initiative (Circular IMTA), led by the Technological University of the Shannon, has been awarded €5 million in funding from the EU Just Transition Fund. Using wastewater from fish farming, the team will cultivate duckweed and macroalgae at scale, developing biobased value-chains and products, including new, sustainable feeds and foods. 🌿 Professor Marcel Jansen and colleagues in the School of Biological Earth and Environmental Sciences will lead the critical duckweed cultivation and valorisation component of the project, building on their long track-record of relevant duckweed research 🔬 Prof. Jansen’s group has demonstrated excellence in valorising various waste streams using duckweed and will use this expertise to upscale from lab to field. Simultaneously, the UCC group will develop opportunities for innovative, sustainable bio-businesses to turn duckweed biomass into marketable products. 💡 It is anticipated that the duckweed waste valorisation work undertaken as part of the project will inspire a range of further applications throughout the agri-feed industry. #Sustainability #Innovation #Bioeconomy #CircularEconomy #Aquaculture #GreenFuture #UCC #Research #EUFunding #ClimateAction

Happy #FluorescenceFriday! How does integrating quantum dots in greenhouse covers improve agricultural outcomes versus traditional greenhouse coverings? It's simple! Integrating our proprietary #quantumdots into a greenhouse covering—such as UbiGro Cover—enhances agricultural outcomes by optimizing the greenhouse light environment. This advanced technology shifts less useful UV and blue light from the sun into the more beneficial red spectrum, directly boosting photosynthesis efficiency. Unlike other covers that merely filter light, our UbiGro technology alters the light spectrum, enhancing plant growth, health, and yield without additional energy costs. It's a unique, effective solution for diverse #greenhouse operations seeking higher productivity and sustainability. Check out some of our case studies from various growers around the world who've employed UbiGro in their greenhouse setups 👇

Together with Sunrise Tech Park our company is organising Hackathon powered by BioBoosters. Our company specialises in microbial biostimulants and seeks ingenious proposals to empower its customers with an efficient and economical method for precise and more harmless fertilizer planning. The excessive application of nitrogen and phosphates is leading to water pollution and disrupting soil microbial growth all around the EU. We are inviting you to design an innovative solution in the hackathon to tackle the prevalent issue of overfertilization caused by the indiscriminate use of fertilizers in European agricultural farms. Join us for a Launch Webinar as we kick off the Nando Hackathon focusing on the urgent issue of overfertilization in European agriculture. Gain a better understanding of the issue itself and learn about the solutions that Nando will expect during the hackathon in April. 🌍💡 Link of the event - left in the comments. #overfertilization #greensolutions #smartagtech #precisionfarming #sustainableagriculture #fertilizeralternatives #ecofriendlyfarming #BioBoosters #NandoHackathon #madewithinterreg #climateneutral #bsr
