Year end forecasts are my favorite as we look to reset our perspective going into 2024. Per eMarketer, the growth of video will be two diverging tales with linear TV ad spend contracting $5.6B between 2023-27 while CTV grows by $17.8B, led by retail media and the launch of Amazon Prime Video with Ads. For the first time, non-Pay TV viewers (cord cutter, cord nevers) have now surpassed Traditional Pay TV viewers! The future of video is bright but the path will look different. Time to rethink and reset how video ad dollars are spent. #ctv #streamingtv #mediabuying #marketingandadvertising #mediaagency #videoadvertising #insights #amazonads

😮 "Today is the day the advertising market will change forever" 😮 Or is it? 👉 READ THE LONG FORM here: https://lnkd.in/dNchvMQZ 🐌 Starting today, many of Amazon‘s Prime Video users will see something they’ve never seen before: commercials in TV shows and movies. Amazon will begin serving ads in Prime Video content by default in major markets Jan. 29, unless users opt to pay extra ($2.99/month in the U.S.) to have an ad-free experience. The company promises to have “meaningfully fewer ads than linear TV and other streaming TV providers” and will first launch ads in the U.S., U.K., Germany, and Canada, to be followed by France, Italy, Spain, Mexico and Australia later in the year. I am trying to understand the potential impacts for a wide set of stakeholders: for Amazon, other media (cable, streamers, FAST), advertisers, consumers Will share more later on today. read the long form here: https://lnkd.in/dNchvMQZ #advertising #streamingmedia #tv

Impacting clients daily with world-class data based on audience targeting. Growing dealership market share and sales by leveraging and understanding data while knowing the dealers' objectives.
https://lnkd.in/dUg9RAtz Every month viewership is declining, consumers are digesting what they want and when they want. How are you consuming Video? This is a quick read but this is the bottom line if you are advertising quit doing it with hoping your spots get seen. This shows less that 50% of people are watching cable and Local TV! Chase the customer using first party data and insure your advertising is working. #AmazonAdvertising #DealerEProcess #AutomotiveMarketing #DeathofCable

It’s here, Amazon Prime ads just popped up on my TV screen…half of me would like to upgrade and pay the £2.99 and stick to binge watching when I can! However, the marketer in me is looking forward to seeing the ads I get served, especially since they have said to aim to have meaningfully fewer ads than linear tv. Excited to see more about this over the next few months. #retailmedia #retailmedianetworks #amazonads #amazonprime #digitalamarketing #advertising

Just in case you don't believe that Techno-Monopolists hold you in contempt. https://lnkd.in/g-ZKxHBd We know where this will go. When the cumulative cost of forced subscriptions matches or exceeds ever non-competitive cable tv. Then expect all of them to spiral together. This of course does not include the tremendous wealth made by selling your personal behavioral information.
Amazon Prime users can kiss goodbye a perk that is no longer free
