The first thing you need to learn is to announce your event as soon as possible; this cannot be overemphasized. Premium Ghostwriter + Content Strategist— I help leaders build trust and authority through strategic content.
Even some of the most prestigious events lack this ONE THING that causes attendance rates to remain low-- **a clear and concise abstract that details what will be learned during the event.** A speaker bio is great but it's not an abstract. A title is great, but it's not an abstract. I've written well over 200 abstracts in the last couple years and here is what makes attendees clamor for a seat: -What problem will this event solve for your audience? -What 3-5 things will the audience learn having attended? -Why is the speaker qualified to lead this event? (Keep this to 1-2 sentences.) -This should all fit into one brief paragraph. Have you ever registered for an event, attended and realized halfway through it wasn't what you expected? Don't let this happen to your audience. Write a killer abstract so they know what to expect. For more marketing tips and tricks, follow me, Sara Lutz ☀️.

If active participation during your event sessions is a challenge, this is what you can do to change it: Most people are followers, and the same is true for your attendees. When no one is participating, it will take a while before a person starts to ask questions because most don’t want to be the first. However, once that first participant shows the rest that it’s safe to participate, others will follow suit. If you want your attendees to feel safe from the get-go, there is a sure way to do that. 🔥 Become your own firestarter. All you need to do is to prepare some relevant questions for the speaker and make it look like it came from one of the attendees. 99% of the time, this will light the participation fire instantly. In that other 1%, the speaker will still be very grateful to receive at least some good questions they can answer to add value to the audience. It’s a win-win either way. So don’t wait for your audience to get there; show them how it’s done. How are you increasing active participation in your events?
