Law students, the most important reason to treat classmates well is not because you might work with or oppose them in the practice. It’s about who you hope to become as a human. Kindness isn’t about delayed reciprocity and shouldn’t be justified with future karma consequences. Respecting people (even the gunners because, who really cares?) should be your norm—your default baseline—because it’s the right thing to do. #lawschool #lawstudents #lawstudent

On Tuesday, 13th August, Akinlawon & Ajomo held a physical mock session for its 2024 externs. They were divided into two teams representing the Claimant and Defendant in a civil action. It was a very insightful, exciting and enlightening session as the externs had the opportunity to learn about the dynamics of the court room, research on legal authorities and principles, argue their cases, examine as well as cross examine witnesses. We wish the externs the best of luck, in their academic pursuit as they return to their various universities. #akinlawonajomo #nigerianlawfirm #legalpractitioners #A&A

To all the law students sitting for the bar exam tomorrow and Wednesday: Remember this test does not define YOU. YOU got accepted to law school; YOU worked hard to make the cut; YOU graduated from law school; and YOU studied hard for this exam for months. YOU put in the work and YOU can do this! I believe in YOU! ❤️🤗 #themisbar #lawschool #barprep

What an innovative and creative activity.
Since September has begun, for the past two weekends, a number of us law students at the David A. Clarke School of Law took a class with Judge Todd Zinicola, who serves Fairfax County in General District Court. Judge Zinicola is an alum of the beloved David A. Clarke School of Law and decided to take his time out and pour back into the legacy of this great institution! The course was entitled ‘Calculating Sentencing Guidelines’ and that’s just what we did! We conducted a mock Sentencing Hearing before Judge Zinicola after calculating Virginia’s Sentencing Guidelines based upon a mock fact pattern supplied to us. It was a resounding moment to see an alum of the law school stand before us, who is highly respected and very powerful in the legal world. It reminds me of the things I can maybe do in the future coming from a small HBCU. University of the District of Columbia David A. Clarke School of Law (UDC Law)

Oh, this is just WILD and NOT an SNL skit!! Rep. Jasmine Crockett started listing off all her "accomplishments" during a hearing. So let's examine them, shall we? According to one report: "The honorary degree she boasts about is from an HBCU that once lost its accreditation, has 380 students and an 87% acceptance rate, and is ranked 1,745th in the country. The law degree she holds is from a third-tier law school." Watch her "testimony", do your own research and then weigh in - is this report true? REPOST for exposure! #thinblueline #lawenforcement
