Autoimmune hemolytic anemia – or AIHA – is a rare, autoantibody disease with no cure that causes red blood cells in a person’s body to rupture. wAIHA, warm autoimmune hemolytic anemia, is the most common type of AIHA and it can affect patients’ lives in various ways. New research from our team at this year’s American Society of Hematology showed fatigue was reported as a core symptom of wAIHA by all study participants.
