🌺 Did you know? Sarcoidosis is often called an "invisible illness" because its symptoms can be non-specific and vary widely, making it challenging to diagnose. Despite this, it's a condition that affects thousands of people worldwide, with a higher prevalence in certain populations. The cause of sarcoidosis remains a mystery, but researchers believe it’s related to an abnormal immune response. This April, Sarcoidosis Awareness Month shines a light on the importance of research, early diagnosis, and community support. By educating ourselves and spreading awareness, we empower those affected and advance towards better treatments. Let’s stand together for all those facing the invisible battles of sarcoidosis. 💪💜 #SarcoidosisAwareness #InvisibleIllness #DidYouKnow #StandTogether

May is ALS Awareness month. Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) is a progressive disease in which the brain loses connection with the muscles, slowly taking a person's ability to walk, talk, eat and eventually breathe. Unfortunately, there is currently no cure for ALS, although researchers around the world are tirelessly working to understand the disease better and to develop potential treatments. However, there is support available for those dealing with or caring for someone with a motor neurone disease (MND) like ALS. Below we have linked to some organisations that help and aim to spread awareness of ALS and MND. https://lnkd.in/epsTwDBN https://lnkd.in/gH5gvtmk #alsawarness #ALSsupport #AlsAwarenessmonth
