Ready to bring sustainable ideas to life? 🌱💡   The ZVEI e. V. is presenting this year's #eSummit on May 16 and 17. This is the most important congress of the electrical and digital industry. Under the motto “The future is electric”, not only familiar faces from politics, but also representatives from business and science are expected.   But why is it so essential to have speakers from all these areas for a discussion about the opportunities and current challenges facing our industry?   Because it takes a united effort to realistically implement #electrifyingideas. 🤝 For example, to realize the future vision of the #AllElectricSociety — a society where all energy is generated from renewable resources and then converted into electricity — a seamless collaboration and holistic thinking across Industry, Mobility, Energy, Infrastructure and Agriculture is required. 🏭🚗⚡🏙️🚜   Whether the aim is to strengthen Europe as a business location or to think ahead in terms of global politics, an electric future must be thought through in a strategic and socially sustainable way. From trade policy and technological progress to digital work skills, there will be numerous inspiring talks and panel discussions.   In addition, established companies as well as newcomers pitch their innovations and solutions that take into account the efficient use of energy and resources and are intended to benefit society. Live at Kosmos Berlin, Robert Habeck will then hand out the Electrifying-Ideas-Award. 🏅   As a member of the ZVEI Executive Board, I am keeping my fingers crossed for all participants and am eagerly awaiting the winner yet again this year. 🤞😊 It is important to create incentives of this kind to keep the conversation going on this important topic and, of course, to move from talk to action!   With the support of many partners, concentrated expertise as well as years of experience in the industry, I would like to draw attention to the fact that great, sustainable ideas are not too far-fetched, but tangible! 🤜🤛 🚀   #sustainability #HARTING

Did you know that one of our partners is in charge of making it possible? 📍Based in Saarbrücken, Germany, IZES gGmbH (Institute for Future Energy and Material Flow Systems) is an independent research institute specialising in the intersection of psychology, society, and renewable energy. 🧠Their Department of Environmental Psychology explores new ways and recommendations for a sustainable and socially acceptable transition of the energy system. At the same time they study the psychological and social factors that determine an energy-efficient usage on household, community and organisational levels♻️⚡ Role in LuxHyVal: 🗣️IZES will tackle the social acceptance of hydrogen infrastructure in Luxembourg. By engaging various stakeholders, including bus operators, users, and the general public. Through qualitative interviews and focus groups, IZES will assess opinions, attitudes, and potential concerns. These insights will help identify societal obstacles and define socially conscious strategies. 📣 CETIM will participate in the second edition of ‘European Process Industry Conference’! 💧 Rebeca Varela Figueroa, European Projects Office Manager at CETIM, will present our project RESURGENCE heu in the session ‘Circularity of Resources’, which will take place on the 23rd of October from 15:40. Today, we want to share with you our participation in the #ORE4Citizens (Ocean Renewable Energy for Citizens) project 🌊🔋. Since mid-July, Vicinay Marine has proudly joined this exciting initiative aimed at promoting the understanding and use of ocean renewable energy among the public. This project, led by TECNALIA Research & Innovation, with the collaboration of key institutions such as the UPV/EHU of the Basque Country, BCAM - Basque Center for Applied Mathematics , and Euskampus Fundazioa, will run for two years, having started in the spring of 2024. The main goals of ORE4Citizens are: 1️⃣ To bridge the gap between scientific knowledge of marine renewable energy and public perception, especially among students and young people. 2️⃣ To increase social awareness and civic engagement in support of marine renewable energy, in alignment with the EU’s sustainability missions. 3️⃣ To promote the role of women in science, inspiring future generations and attracting female talent to scientific careers. 4️⃣ To highlight the scientific and technological capabilities of the Basque Country in ocean renewable energy and its impact locally and across Europe. 🔗 At Vicinay Marine, we are excited to be part of this project that drives sustainable development and a greener future.
