Hot off the press! We polled 1,500+ restaurant employees about what motivates them at work. They said their team is just as important as financial incentives. That means you can't ignore team-building activities and behaviors that harm your culture. Like Danny Meyer said, your restaurant has a culture, whether it's intentional or not. The employees also told us: - Why they quit restaurant jobs - What makes them stick around - How they like to be trained Restaurateurs like Danny Meyer (Founder of Union Square Hospitality Group & Shake Shack), Kwini Reed (Co-Owner at Poppy + Rose), and Chris Britt (COO at Epic Brands) weighed in on the findings. They shared actionable steps to have a happier, more engaged restaurant team. See some of the key insights here 👇

// How do you eat a hamburger? In the world of employee communication, there's a unique approach that's been gaining popularity - the Hamburger System. And, yes, it's not just about burgers! This method provides a framework for constructive feedback, focusing on employee growth and empowerment. The Hamburger System consists of three essential components: buns, meat, and buns again. 🍔 Buns: Represent the positive and neutral aspects of a topic, highlighting strengths, achievements, and good things. 🍔 Meat: Symbolizes constructive feedback, focusing on areas for improvement, challenges, and disadvantages. By combining these elements, you can create a comprehensive and meaningful feedback process that helps employees grow and develop while meeting organizational goals. But some people might use the Hamburger as a way to only focus on the positive aspects use "only buns" - you're only acknowledging the good stuff, and not providing any constructive feedback. Only focusing on the positive aspects can lead to a lack of growth and development. On the other hand, some people focus on the negative aspects of someone's performance. This is what I mean by "only meat" - you're only criticizing what's not going well. Focusing on the negative aspects can lead to demotivation and low morale. The key to using the Hamburger System effectively is finding a balance between acknowledging strengths and providing constructive feedback. By using all three ingredients (bun, meat, and bun), you can provide a balanced and fair feedback that's helpful for both the team member and the organization. So, how do you eat a hamburger? __________________________________________________________________________ Please reach out to us today to help your company's efficiency.
