Can you clearly state your organization's theory of change for your community development efforts? Community development is about helping people and communities build better social outcomes despite complex and interconnected systems that make it difficult to advance. The most effective organizations know exactly how their metrics impact people in practical ways. Practice articulating the problem you are addressing in plain language. When you can state your purpose without industry buzzwords and funder-focused language, the next step is likely to become much clearer.
