Hi Fly joins the initiative "1 day cycling, why not?” Hi Fly joined the "1 day cycling, why not?” initiative as part of the European Mobility Week and the car-free day. Hi Fly employees chose the bicycle as their means of transport to get to work, demonstrating the company's commitment to sustainable mobility and the preservation of the environment. The initiative is integrated into a campaign that aims to raise awareness among companies and employees of the importance of reducing the environmental impact of urban mobility. It also promotes changes in behaviour in favour of sustainable mobility, encouraging the use of public transport and other means of travel that are less polluting and friendlier to cities, their inhabitants and visitors. The action not only contributed to reducing carbon emissions but also gave participants the opportunity to experience a healthier and more ecologically responsible way of travelling. On October 15, 2023, the "Do pracy jadę Rowerem" initiative by the city of Bydgoszcz concluded, running from September 16. During this period, our 35-member cycling team from Bydgoszcz collectively covered a distance of over 12,500 kilometers. This achievement is not only impressive but also a significant contribution to promoting a healthy lifestyle and environmental conservation. Equally satisfying is the fact that our facility in Bydgoszcz had true leaders in the competition. Krzysztof Lewandowski, Albert Tubaja, and Arkadiusz Santowski stood on the podium, clearly demonstrating the exceptional commitment and determination of the entire biking team from the Bydgoszcz plant. This is evidence that TFKable Group is a place where not only efficient work is done but also initiatives promoting a healthy lifestyle and environmental care are actively supported. The "Do pracy jadę Rowerem" initiative brought together 80 companies, and 1,103 employees - cyclists, who collectively rode a total of 309,395 kilometers from September 16th to October 15th. Sustainability 🚴♀️🌿 Embracing the power of two wheels for a more sustainable commute! 🌍💼 This summer I decided to bring one of my many bikes to Lithuania and to commute to work. Every pedal stroke on my daily cycling commute reminds me of the positive impact we can have on the environment and our own well-being. 🌟🚴♂️ Yesterday I reached 50 days of cycling to work and back some 800km of cycling in to and back from the office, some even in the rain! Cycling to work isn't just a healthy choice; it's a planet-friendly one too! 🌿 By swapping your car for a bicycle, you're not only reducing harmful emissions but also cutting down on traffic congestion, which means less time spent stuck in traffic and more time enjoying the fresh air. 🚗➡️🚲 Beyond the personal benefits, cycling contributes to a greener future by conserving energy and reducing our carbon footprint. At ECF, our favourite way of moving is by bicycle - it also happens to be the most sustainable! To meet climate targets and ensure a equitable future for all, our transport systems must be sustainable. As a healthy and non-polluting mode of transport, cycling should be a central pillar in our mobility systems. Promoting active travel, such as walking and cycling is a quick, affordable, healthy and reliable way to reduce carbon emissions from transport and improve people's lives.
