Reflecting the stage pitch at Tenity (formerly F10) Demo Day last Thursday. The moments before pitching our start-up sylbaa we are building with our team, right before stepping on to the stage, are a crucial situation for mastering self-control. The moment before you stand up to put yourself in front of the stage is the moment in which you surrender. Your heart beats strongly and you know you have to / you want to perform. You do not want to disappoint yourself nor anybody in the audience. Especially not when you are the only female on stage that night. You control your breath, you surrender, you relax. You want to represent female founders in a strong way. So you take your time. You breathe and take one sentence at a time. You have the self confidence to surrender on stage, you seize the room's attention entirely to yourself. I do not care what gender I have. But I do care about our company and I do care about pushing innovation in the #gold sector. An environment where you are clearly an outsider just by your natural gender can put pressure on anybody. In general I do not think about it often, because I have a strong voice and I do not shy away from using it. But in this case, I do want be a role model for females to perform in a strong matter. Drive diversity in FinTechs, it is necessary. Diverse teams perform better. Thank you to everyone involved and for the very positive feedback I have received. Thanks to the organisers Viola Bhattarai (Zoller), Timothy Lachenmeier, Wiktoria (Victoria) Przybylska. And all the teams as well as Rishi Raj Sharma for the support. #pitch #femalefounder #stage #speaker #performance #entrepreneurship #software #goldtrading
