What do I want to achieve? Who am I talking to? Why will they believe in themselves? How will they achieve their dreams? These are my guiding lights in what I do... Local TV NEWS "...The reasons behind this generational divide are multifaceted. Younger audiences tend to prioritize convenience and immediacy, values that align more closely with digital media forms than with traditional linear TV broadcasts. They prefer to consume news on their own schedules, often in bite-sized formats that can be easily accessed on smartphones or tablets. Furthermore, younger viewers are more likely to seek out niche content that aligns more closely with their specific interests, rather than broad, general-interest coverage that traditionally characterizes local TV news programming."

Time for a Change? The Relevance of the BBC in Today's World. In a media landscape where streaming and on-demand content reign supreme, it's worth asking if the BBC's model, reliant on the license fee, still holds its ground. Recent critiques highlight its perceived biases, such as the report suggesting the BBC's questionable stance on the Israel-Gaza conflict—a potential deal-breaker for many. 🚨 We have today published our seventh annual report on the BBC. The BBC remains the most-used UK media brand across TV, radio and online. And our report finds it is generally delivering well against its remit for viewers and listeners. However, there are still areas for improvement. The BBC is still struggling to reach all audiences – for example, those from lower socio-economic backgrounds. We want it to be clearer about its overarching plans for increasing levels of satisfaction with the BBC among this group and, more broadly, how it is evaluating initiatives to better reach less satisfied or lighter users such as younger people.
