In our quest to create truly patient-centric hospitals, the key to success lies in supporting our frontline healthcare workers. These dedicated professionals are essential in delivering the compassionate care our patients deserve. However, despite the excellent skills of our physicians and the well-defined care pathways for various diseases, there is often a gap in coordination and follow-up that can disrupt patient care. The feedback I often receive highlights that navigating the healthcare environment remains a challenge. This is not due to a lack of knowledge or expertise but rather a shortfall in the guidance and support services necessary for seamless care coordination. To address this, we must focus on providing our frontline staff with robust support systems. This includes everything from enhanced administrative assistance to advanced training and better communication tools. By strengthening these areas, we can ensure that our care pathways are not just well planned but also well executed, leading to a truly patient-centric environment. Let's prioritize the well-being and support of our healthcare workers to transform patient care. What strategies have you found effective in supporting your frontline staff? #HealthcareLeadership #PatientCentricCare #HealthcareManagement Image: https://lnkd.in/dbX-He5D

Building Hospitune into a World Class Brand | Leading a High Performance Team Transforming Patient Experience and Operational Excellence in Hospitals and Clinics | Customer Relations, CRM
The Power of a Positive Reputation for Hospitals In the healthcare industry, trust and confidence are paramount. Hospitals with a positive reputation enjoy numerous benefits, and one of the most impactful is the increase in patient trust and confidence. When patients trust a hospital, they are more likely to choose it for their healthcare needs. This trust leads to higher patient volumes, as more individuals feel confident in the quality of care provided. Additionally, a strong reputation fosters word-of-mouth referrals, as satisfied patients recommend the hospital to their family and friends. A hospital's reputation is built on consistent, high-quality care, professional staff, and positive patient outcomes. By prioritizing these elements, hospitals not only improve their reputation but also contribute to better health outcomes for the community. Let's continue to strive for excellence in healthcare and build trust within our communities. Dale Schattenkirk Partner & Head of Healthcare & Health Sciences, Lieutenant Governor’s Award for Health System Transformation. Operational Excellence | Healthcare Transformation
Do we really have universal public healthcare? Hospital care is almost 100% covered, physicians are covered (mostly), about 45% of medications are covered, 35% of Long-Term Care is covered, 30% of Homecare is covered… we only spend 6% of our budget on public health…😞 We pay a lot out of pocket for our care (if we can afford it). We can do better with our resources, both financial and human. #transformhealthcare #healthcare #fixinghealthcare

Family doctors are the foundation of our healthcare system. The care they provide cannot be replaced, and family physicians should be valued for the critical role they play in keeping our communities healthy. #NationalPhysiciansDay #DoctorsDay

Did you Know? 💡 80% of serious medical errors involve miscommunication during care transitions. Why this matters: - When patients move between doctors - During hospital admission/discharge - Between different healthcare facilities - After specialist referrals The average elderly patient sees 7 different doctors across 4 different practices each year. Each transition creates a new opportunity for vital information to slip through the cracks. Have you or your family members ever had to repeat tests because records weren't available between healthcare providers? #HealthTech #DigitalHealth #PatientSafety #Healthcare #MedicalErrors

While non-physicians provide valuable care, patients seen by physicians have a lower rate of hospitalization for preventable conditions. Physicians' extensive training equips them to make the best decisions for your and your family's health. For comprehensive and optimal care, consider the benefits of physician-led healthcare. #TrustDoctors #Healthcare
