Not everyone can be a leader. The skills should be learn and improvise over time. As simple as choosing how to address the issues to a bigger challenge when dealing with your team member. As someone that experience toxic environment in workplace, I would say any words and phrases use to encounter during work do really matter. How confidence you are with your self but if someone keep giving you indirect negative feedback, it will eventually making you doubt yourself. So please be the one that can lead instead of bossing around. At the end of the day, giving your team a good and positive remarks actually help a lot in the overall performance. Choose how to deal with a certain circumstances without downgrading the person.

This is why I prefer 18th century Master and Apprentice type business models instead of Boss and employee paradigms where you work closely together with your people to accomplish tasks and goals, and learn and grow in the process as well.
