A little slow to post as my busy week takes hold, however its never to late to share… 🙏🏼 National Inclusion Week runs from the 23rd - 29th September and for 2024 the theme is #Impactmatters … Founded by ‘Inclusive Employers’, National Inclusion Week (NIW) is a week dedicated to celebrating inclusion and taking action to create inclusive workplaces… Each one of us holds the potential to make a profound and positive impact…. ‘Impact Matters’ has a powerful message that centres around understanding, identifying and measuring impact on marginalised groups and taking actions that make for genuine, sustainable change ……that matters…. In a world where reading an incredibly insightful and congruent book called ‘Invisible Women’ penned by Caroline Criado Perez around the worlds non inclusive design and media stories where humans with difference are still being dismissed for jobs they can clearly do. Stories where gender differences are met with hate or distain …Where our humans of colour find themselves without the daily facilities required to stay connected to their belief systems, heritage and culture …. How well do you understand the employee experience from an inclusion perspective? Equip Equipping your staff to enable your organisation to design and deliver more effective inclusive policies and processes. How you use training, policies and guidance to equip all employees, including managers and leaders, to build equality, diversity and inclusion into their work. Empower Empower by involving staff through networks, team discussions, Trade Unions and other channels. Do you value the contributions of everyone, including people from under-represented groups?
