For B2B #attribution, how do you keep track of when an event happens in Salesforce? #leadstatus #opportunitystage This is important so you can line up the marketing touches pre-event. One good way is the History tables. ✔ Every time a change happens to a record, the change is captured in the History table along with the timestamp of the change. (i.e. Lead 'Status' changed to 'Converted' on 5/8/2024.) Salesforce has the native ability to track this, you just have to flip this on in the object management settings. Here are some most common mistakes leadership makes when 'running HubSpot' for their business: 1- Confusing the tool with strategy / not having a strategy for the CRM 2- Not reviewing the data or allowing people to add bad data in HubSpot 3- Allowing methodologies instead of processes into HubSpot 4- Not policing the users in the CRM to stick to the processes 5- Working around HubSpot themseveles for reporting or functionality 6- Sales people who are not keeping data up to date 7- Not defining the roles of the users and their accessability to the data in the CRM You cannot avoid responsibility for your CRM to any of the above unless you want to make a mess out of your portal. How to solve it? Start with your objectives: What are you looking to achieve and how does HubSpot can help you achieve it? Sort out your data: Bad data is worse than no data. Govern what data is coming in to your CRM and what needs to be removed. Integrate your tech stack: Accomulate data from various sources in your CRM so even if you do work around it still ends up in HubSpot. Keep processes simple at start: You don't want to push yourself on a strategy which don't give you any customer. Always rely on customer feedback and then improvise.
