🌟 I together with my inclusion advocate peers, Melissa & Han Sern, had the honor of attending YAYASAN GAMUDA's 10th Anniversary celebration—a momentous event that marked a decade of their impactful contributions that spotlights a crucial aspect of today’s workforce: neurodiversity. 🧠 Statistics reveal that a significant portion of Gen Z employees identify as neurodiverse, many of whom may not even be diagnosed. This insight has profoundly influenced my approach as a manager in this modern times, underscoring the importance of fostering an inclusive environment that supports every individual's unique way of thinking and problem-solving. 💡 The event was rich with enlightening discussions on how embracing neurodiversity can enrich our teams. Leaders shared best practices for integrating neurodiverse talent into our workspaces, highlighting that true inclusion goes beyond mere acceptance—it’s about creating spaces where everyone’s unique strengths and perspectives are truly valued and leveraged. 🌐 As we continue to navigate a rapidly evolving workplace, the need for awareness and sensitivity towards neurodiversity has never been more critical. It’s not just about making room at the table; it’s about reshaping the table so that everyone can sit comfortably and contribute effectively. 🚀 Let’s champion the cause of neurodiversity in our workplaces. By increasing our understanding and changing our practices, we can unlock incredible potential and pave the way for a workplace where diversity is not just recognized but celebrated. #InclusionMatters #Neurodiversity #Leadership #YAYASANGAMUDA #WorkplaceInclusion

Just like her, we are all capable of standing up for what's right, and that’s where active allyship comes into play. Allyship is not just about offering support from the sidelines; it’s about stepping up when it truly matters. Men and women alike can be allies by actively speaking up, calling out inappropriate behavior, and fostering a culture of respect and inclusion. It’s a commitment to ensure that every voice is heard, every individual is valued, and equality is at the heart of every decision. I’ve had the opportunity to foster this mindset throughout my leadership journey. Whether managing teams or engaging with stakeholders, I’ve made it a priority to create environments where inclusivity is the norm. In one instance, a female team member’s contributions were being overshadowed during project meetings. I didn’t just observe; I intervened—ensuring her ideas were given the space they deserved. This simple act of allyship led to stronger team collaboration, and her ideas ended up driving a pivotal breakthrough in the project. The foundation of respect we lay in our personal lives extends to every part of our professional lives. We must be vocal advocates, ensuring that everyone has the opportunity to succeed. 💥 TOGETHER WE FLOURISH was the motto of this super inspiring event yesterday hosted by nushu Female Business and meta here in Hamburg. It was a vibrant celebration of International Women’s Month, embodying the spirit of mutual support and the celebration of women’s achievements. ➡️ The empowerment starts with us – in the way we lend a hand to each other, in the opportunities we create. We pave the way for a more inclusive and flourishing future not only in our corporate world. 🌀 As a coach dedicated to people & organizational empowerment „TOGETHER WE FLOURISH“ resonates deeply with my mission. A highlight of the event was the lively and inspiring panel discussion that showcased great female power and smart brains: 💡Nicola Mendelsohn CBE, Liane Siebenhaar, Sabine Zantis, Thuy-Ngan Trinh. Each of you brought your unique insights and experiences contributing to a rich collective wisdom that truly embodied the spirit of empowerment. My key takeaways of „TOGETHER WE FLOURISH“ 👉Be Courageous: It's essential to step out of our comfort zones and face challenges head-on. ✔️Be More Direct: Clear communication is key to effective leadership and relationship-building. 👥Network More: Building a robust network is crucial for personal and professional growth. 🧩The 'Woman of Work' initiative by Scholz & Friends exemplifies the impact of dedicated programs in nurturing female leadership. ♻️Eliminate Bias: It's imperative to recognize and remove biases in our conversations. The event underscored the importance of these principles, providing a roadmap for not only women but everyone committed to fostering an inclusive, empowering and flourishing environment. ➡️ How will you lend a hand to someone in your network this week to embody the spirit of „TOGETHER WE FLOURISH“? #TogetherWeFlourish #InternationalWomensDay #FemaleLeadership #Empowerment #Networking #UnconsciousBias #AuthenticLeadership

Startup Advisor on Growth & Strategy | Associator Director Growth & Marketing at StayVista | Experienced Digital Marketer | Analytics | Product & Growth | GrowthX fellow
If there’s one reason #diversity in #leadership really matters, it’s this: you get to understand your #customers better. Let me explain. I’ll take the example of our leadership team at StayVista. Having different voices at the leadership table — men, women, people from all walks of life — helps us see things from every angle. For example, when a woman is booking a trip, she might be thinking about things like safety, comfort, and those little extras that make a stay special. A family with kids? They’re probably more focused on space and convenience. And let’s not forget guests with accessibility needs — that’s something you might miss if no sensitive soul in leadership is thinking about it. I’ve seen firsthand how having diverse perspectives at the table has helped us create more thoughtful experiences for our guests. In #hospitality, that’s everything. How has #leadershipdiversity impacted your #customerexperience? #inclusion

I deliver better colleague experiences ⭐ I design positively disruptive communications ⭐ I'm a strategic, logical and creative thinker ⭐ And I’m outcome focused and insight driven (always).
I can’t wait to listen to Advita Patel and The Culture Club lift the lid on inclusivity. Do join us on Wednesday 31 January, 11.30 am – 12.10 pm (GMT). https://lnkd.in/eHwp5Ee5 Advita always has a brilliant insight and clarity. My top pearls of Advita wisdom to date are: ⭐ You don’t need to bring your whole self to work, but you should be able to bring the self you need to be to do your best work. It should be safe to be authentic, but we don’t have to bring every element of ourselves. ⭐ Turning your camera off is a sign something's wrong. It's okay to turn your camera off, but it shouldn’t be because you don’t feel comfortable. If there’s a reason someone doesn’t feel okay to have their camera on, we need to ask why and see what can be done to make everyone feel safe to open up. ⭐ Inclusion days can’t be about showboating - we absolutely should create a space everyone feels included. But grandstanding means nothing without action. So if you’re talking, make sure it’s grounded in action first. ⭐ Belonging is personal. You can’t make people feel like they belong. You can create the best space to include everyone, but it’s up to each of us to decide if we feel like we belong. Would love to hear how Advita’s helped shape the way you think too! #inclusion #employeeexperience #communication #internalcommunications #employeeengagement #culture

From the desk of Dr. Gerilyn Davis: Happy Wednesday!! I hope you have had an outstanding week! As we are halfway through the week, this is always a good moment for feedback to assess what’s done, what to do, and what’s next to come. Within our inclusion opportunity planning, we can plan for criticism or, as I prefer to call it, feedback. When we allocate time to dive deeper, we aren’t shell-shocked by it because we can leverage it to continue the journey. When we are open to feedback, we can leverage the experience for clarification, reconciliation, or the opportunity to create more inclusion. We are also able to become more refined in our intentions. We can only create additional inclusion opportunities through feedback. It provides the catalyst for newness and expansion. How encouraging to know that we can co-create a path together. There's so much joy in the journey! Enjoy the day! #joyofincluson #inclusionexpansion #inclusionontheslopes #SWORDInclusionSystem #PhaseFourOpportunityPlanning

Uplifting Impact put on an awesome Inclusion Summit led by the incredible Deanna Singh and Justin Ponder. This experience was different because they provided practical tools (going beyond brilliant theory), created space for reflection, and were intentional about co-creation so we can all #humanbetter. Loved sharing the time with colleagues Jahnavi Acharya, PMP Ashley Smale, PMP Olivia Huening Ma. Vivian Dequina Tracey Rivera! #shapethefuture I will take so much back with me in the workplace. Just to name a few: People need autonomy, understanding and likability - these critical elements aid in cohesion and support. - embrace and carry an abundnace mindset - discontinuous improvement with intentional pauses for rest is important - surrender DEI “should be…” as it is unique to the organization you are in - there are seasons/times that may position you better for success (openess to change should be a part of the equation) - “I don’t know”and “I am sorry” are not only okay but encourged My list could go on and on but if you made it this far in this post, I would love to hear your thoughts on how we can #humanbetter. What are some of your ideas?
