[ 🌱 Regenerative Agriculture ]  Bonduelle aims to become a recognized player in the deployment of regenerative agriculture, to better preserve resources, soils and biodiversity, while contributing to carbon storage.    Our roadmap is based on the following key agronomic principles:     - maintain or increase soil organic matter ;   - minimize soil disturbance;   - keep soil covered to limit erosion;   - maximize crop and ecosystem diversity;   - use resources and inputs sparingly;   -offer training in regenerative agriculture. Recent assessments conducted as part of the partnership between Bayer and ADM in Poland have revealed that farms implementing regenerative practices have seen a 15% reduction in carbon emissions compared to conventional methods. In fact, it is estimated that by fully embracing regenerative agriculture techniques, farmers could potentially decrease their emissions by up to 40%. The key practices involved in this collaboration include minimum tillage, cover crops, companion crops, nutrient management, use of organic matter/manure, and crop rotation. The Yale Center for Business and the Environment released two reports, "Bridging the Regenerative Agriculture Financing Gap" and "Surf to Turf: Linking Regenerative Agriculture and Restorative Aquaculture in Coastal Foodscapes," [both attached below] which highlight the challenges of regenerative agriculture financing due to outdated models and cultural disconnects, proposing new solutions for investors and farmers to collaborate, and exploring the integration of restorative aquaculture to create sustainable coastal food systems. Published by FAIRR Initiative, the report highlights that: 👉🏽#50/79 companies worth USD 3 trillion mention regenerative agriculture initiatives in their disclosures. 👉🏽Regenerative outcomes sought by companies are scattered with a preference for soil health and carbon. 👉🏽❗️Only #36% (18/50) have quantified company-wide targets for regenerative agriculture. 👉🏽❗️Just #16% (8/50) discuss metrics and data, with only four companies having established baselines to measure progress. 👉🏽‼️Only #8% (4/50) have targets to financially support farmers to deploy regenerative practices. #regenerativeagriculture #inclusivefinance
