Hello 👋 as we continue talking about "Formulation" , ,farmers do you understand the meaning? Feed formulation is the process of matching the nutrient requirements of a class of animals with the nutrient contents of the available ingredients in an economic manner. #Smartfarming

Multiple award winning Food Technologist. Product Engineering (R&D , Additives, Product/project management food ingredients meat fish and poultry.
Good afternoon everyone. I am becoming aware that my posts appear to focus on coating and smoke condensates. Please understand that when my current situation arose most of my work became unaccessible, for obvious reasons My experience ranges over just about any topic related to the meat fish and poultry industires, be that ingredients, additives blends, protein, hydrocolloids and general technology. I am currently available should anyone be interested in what I can offer. I just thought I would clarify this point

"At the core of this rule is a requirement that persons subject to the rule who manufacture, process, pack, or hold foods on the FTL, maintain records containing Key Data Elements (KDEs) associated with specific Critical Tracking Events (CTEs); and provide information to the FDA within 24 hours or within some reasonable time to which the FDA has agreed. We like to look beyond what is seen There is a difference between looking and seeing, seeing can be done while performing another task, but looking requires the action of observing…. When you look at someone buying a product made in a food store, you may not be able to see the agricultural producer who dedicated their time to outdoor production to achieve that raw material of excellence, nor may you be able to see the company that dedicated years to it. developmental. to formulate that chemical or biological product that helped nourish that plant that became raw material and you may also not be able to see our engineers and technicians who manufactured the technology so that those companies can develop and formulate those products that nourished those plants. Everything is connected, you just have to look to see Today we delivered to Albaugh Latam South its new automatic S.C. herbicide concentrated suspension formulation The implementation of new formulation plants in the lines of floatable fungicides and herbicides ensures an improvement in grinding efficiency, reducing energy costs. The configuration of this formulation flow achieves greater productive efficiency and an increase in the final micronization of the product. This is transmitted in achieving a final product of greater homogeneity. The automatic formulation plant has a double mixer and disperser system. Its automatic control configuration allows you to save recipes for adding active ingredients, mixing and dispersing, being able to vary and control parameters of times, speeds, temperatures, etc. This allows maintaining the record and traceability of each formulation process or Bach, which guarantees accuracy between batches of formulations, avoiding possible operator errors. Better formulation, better products, better results, more crop yields, more food in the world, we are all connected. 💪 😊 #agricultura #fertilizantes #produccion #alimentacion #tecnologia #innovacion #soja #trigo #campo

Sadly many consumers are not informed on the contamination levels and types of contamination in the food they are eating, nor do they even care to be informed especially when looking at a tasty smelling plate of hot food.... For this reason we will need to push for a more a robust regulatory framework that is fact checked by individuals willing to do independent testing. In a paper I am writing, and hope to publish soon, I introduce a potential new regulatory branch for "Indirectly Consumed Chemicals" that are not meant for human consumption such as by-products of manufacturing or farming such as pesticides (EDCs) and other harmful analogs, molecules that mimic bioidentical molecules in the body but are not structurally identical. #indirectlyconsumedchemicals #foodcontamination #contamination #carcinogens #EDCs #pesticides #mutagens #genotoxins #cancer #lifespan #health #medicine #FDA #regulation #regulatorybodies #
The Court of Public Opinion The Environmental Working Group recently published a study on oat products that contained chlormequat ,most notably in General Mills Cheerios and PepsiCo Quaker Oats. Even though the levels of chlormequat were within EPA standards, class action lawsuits have been filed alleging "dangerous levels" are contained in these products. The main questions are "what constitutes dangerous levels, and who is the final arbiter of those dangerous levels?" which leads to the question of liability if in fact chlormequat does cause major health issues. Is it the EPA who is liable? Is it the food companies, the traders, or any other party in the supply chain? Regardless of the outcome or which side of the argument anyone is on, the subject of "whats in/on our food" is out there and with legal and commercial ramifications. We will see in the coming months what happens to the sales of Quaker Oats and Cherrios, but if I was a betting man, I would take the "under." All of this most likeley will lead to pervasive testing of residual levels of crop protection products not only packaged food products, but also in fast food. The Minnesota Department of Agriculture recently published a list of crop protection AIs that contain PFAS. See link below. This is probably going to be one of the next shoes to drop. PFAS has been well documented to be in soil and water, but our food? https://lnkd.in/dmhtRckq If one looks at what AGRIVI has done with Kaufland Deutschland in Croatia it's a great first step for grocery chains https://lnkd.in/dgDhuXk3 The next step is to actually see what crop protection products are going on what crops and from where. This can easily be done with Leaf Agriculture's API. Food companies should be testing and figuring it out before someone else does. If there is more and more testing and transparency, the court of public opinion, collectively, will ultimately decide on their own what is acceptable or not, regardless of what the regulators think. As I wrote before, "......packaged food companies have the power to change farming practices when it comes to crop inputs, amonst other things. It would be great for packaged food, food service and fast food companies to evaluate what fungicides, herbicides, and pesticides are being used on supplier crops to further enhance the quality of products they produce."
