My game v1 was "done," but during play testing it became clear it was very punishing. The enemy double lasers doing double damage was harsh, and a point blank shot-and-ram from an enemy meant game over. I therefore implemented a frame invulnerability for the player; a system that is common in games to prevent instant death by enemy frame advantage. https://lnkd.in/gTvMfEpA
