Incredible tour through the Asia Pacific region and an honor to meet an incredible team🙏 These are my highlights... ⭐Tokyo, Japan: A hub for peptide biotech innovation and manufacturing. Two days were not nearly enough to explore this countries potential for peptides. ⭐Busan, Korea: I had the pleasure to visit the KPPS. It was good to step out from the western bubble to see that excellent innovation is global. We have to remove barriers and not build them if we want to make the best for humans and our environment. ⭐Shanghai, China: Hell what a team at Mesa Laboratories, Inc. - skills, dedication, focus, customer-centric. It was an honor to meet and learn from you all. ⭐Hong Kong: The Chinese Peptide Symposium showed that Gyros Protein Technologies has the right solutions for a global market. So many wonderful discussion about peptide synthesis and purification. I am looking forward to many many follow-ups. And everyone who likes big cities. Hong Kong is awesome. Full of energy and wonderful people. I will come back for sure. But now its time to get back✈️ over and out✌🏼 #peptides #synthesis #purification #purepep

Quality Control Process Analyst at PT Kalbe Morinaga Indonesia | International Virtual Summer Course of Forensic Science at University of Ozarks | Honorable Mention at Asian Youth International Model United Nations 2021
I am excited to share that my research article, titled "Antidiabetic Bioactivity of Ethyl Acetate Extract of Fungus Comb," has officially been published in the Indonesian Journal of Chemical Analysis (IJCA), managed by Universitas Islam Indonesia. This work represents the culmination of one year of rigorous research, which I conducted in collaboration with my esteemed co-author, Prof. Dr. Irmanida Batubara. In this study, we investigated the bioactivity of ethyl acetate extract derived from fungus comb, focusing specifically on its potential to inhibit the alpha-glucosidase enzyme. This enzyme plays a crucial role in carbohydrate digestion, and its inhibition is a well-recognized strategy to manage postprandial blood sugar levels in diabetes. To benchmark our findings, we used acarbose—a commercially available antidiabetic drug with a similar mechanism of action—as a reference standard. The research journey has been both challenging and rewarding. Conducting this study opened my eyes to the vast potential of natural products in addressing critical health issues such as diabetes. Through our findings, we hope to contribute valuable insights into the exploration of bioactive compounds from natural sources, providing a foundation for future research and development in pharmacochemistry and therapeutic applications. I am truly grateful to everyone who supported me throughout this journey, especially my academic advisors and colleagues, whose guidance was indispensable. For those interested in exploring the full details of this research, you can access the published article through the Indonesian Journal of Chemical Analysis at https://lnkd.in/gj-YDEmJ. Your feedback and thoughts would be most welcome as we continue to push the boundaries of natural product research and its applications in modern medicine. #research #publication #antidiabetic #naturalproducts #phytochemistry #antidiabetic #pharmacochemistry

https://lnkd.in/eVu5Bdiz, https://lnkd.in/e_fbrqii Embarking on a profound journey within the realm of medicinal chemistry, I am driven by a deep passion to make a meaningful impact, particularly in addressing neglected tropical diseases (NTDs). For this commitment, I collaborate with the LPCR team at Aix-Marseille Université (France), working synergistically with our esteemed partners from the LBqT team at FIOCRUZ (Brazil). The invaluable financial support extended by MinCiencias - Colombia plays a pivotal role in propelling our shared goals forward. I take immense pride in actively contributing to the collective efforts aimed at combating NTDs. This collaborative endeavor extends beyond the laboratory, encompassing a multifaceted approach involving not only scientific research but also strategic partnerships. In sharing our research outcomes, I am eager to communicate both the anticipated successes and the lessons drawn from challenges, recognizing that every aspect contributes to our collective growth. My current focus revolves around advancing research for new treatments in leishmaniasis, a pursuit that involves navigating both the anticipated and less glamorous facets of the scientific journey. I remain excited about the prospect of shaping the future landscape of medicinal chemistry and contributing to a world where neglected tropical diseases are no longer overlooked.

#HongKong is set to become a global #innovation hub. On #biotechnology, Hong Kong’s scale of fundraising for biotechnology is one of the largest in the world. “One of the reasons why we moved the Asia-Pacific headquarters to Hong Kong is because we wanted to make a bet on the growth in the biotechnology industry in China. Hong Kong is a well-developed city where the East meets the West. It is the best way to travel, or my best place to travel to Europe, to the US, to Japan,” Alex Zhavoronkov, CEO of biotech company Insilico Medicine said.
