To be honest, my working life before Airtable was incredibly frustrating. Systems were disjointed, inaccurate, and, to reuse the phrase, in desperate need of a single source of truth. Airtable has become that single source of truth, and now other departments want to use Airtable so as to relieve the pressures that they face by not having to access spreadsheets that are out of date and duplicate work inaccurately. It’s uplifting to see that Adobe (amongst many other commercial leviathans) also use Airtable, as I face the daily uphill battle in trying to convince the business as a whole that I have discovered gold and it’s incredibly valuable. But, it’s a battle that’s worth fighting. It’s an absolute joy to be able to create apps and manage data in a way that suits both yourself and the business, without having to involve expensive third parties who will never walk a mile in your shoes, so will therefore always provide solutions that are found wanting. Airtable amounts to a revolution of data management.
