Could anyone answer me a question: Why is it that consumers are being told to buy solar, yet the large energy companies are all investing in wind? I see very few large solar farms when compared to off shore wind development. My theory is that if the government made inland development of wind easier, they’d remove large chunks of the energy market. The consumer being left with a renewable energy source that kind of meets some of our needs, but still largely dependant on buying energy from a privatised business.

Permitted development? It's do what you can isn't it. Id be surprised if people invest in solar without batteries unless they can load match and batteries can help maximise grid renewables as well as on site
