In 2023, we rolled out 64 water filtration units across our fleet to combat single-use plastics. This year, we’re adding another 50 units! This initiative is a part of our offshore waste reduction program and is set to eliminate 50+ tons of plastic waste across our fleet annually – equivalent to over 300 tons of #GHG emissions. Kudos to our offshore teams for driving the behavioral changes that make a significant impact on our environmental sustainability journey! #SustainabilityAtShelfDrilling #ShelfDrilling #OffshoreOperations
A fantastic initiative by Shelf Drilling! Reducing single-use plastics and cutting down on plastic waste is a crucial step towards a more sustainable future in the maritime industry. SHM Group applauds your efforts in leading the way for environmental stewardship.
SHELF once again leading the way to change. Not only will this help to reduce the environmental impact and waste production. The other unrecognised reduction here is the shipping and handling of the water to the offshore location; the manual handling of the water bottles as well as the required storage. Let’s hope that all of the global customers approve of the use of these units. Well Done the SHELF team
Great initiative... all ships and rigs should have these, but I've only seen them a handful of times!... Eg: of you have a POB of 120, and everyone drinks 4 x 500ml bottles of water a day, that's 175,000 bottles per year!
Fantastic
Well done. Have used supplied multi use bottles to the guys as well?
Fantastic initiative and application of the type of change our world needs to make!
Great initiative. More offshore companies should do this.
Congratulations! Setting a great example in looking after the environment!
Well done
This is a fantastic initiative Shelf Drilling. Environmental sustainability is the need of hour and we firmly believe that this revolutionary step would indeed pave way to much bigger changes. Keep inspiring!
