Do you know about Price Lock Startegy? 🔒 Recently, I've observed that many travel booking sites are now offering a Price Lock feature, allowing users to secure a particular fare. This feature proves beneficial by preventing fare increases. SpiceJet Limited, for instance, provides the Spice Lock option directly on the flight search page. Users can opt to lock in their fare with or without specifying passenger names. Once a fare is selected, it remains secured for a duration of 48 hours, shielded from any price surges. This provides users with a window of time to make a decision regarding their confirmed travel plans. It's important to note that SpiceLock is applicable for flights with departure dates 7 days or later for domestic flights and 15 days or later for international flights. I'm off to London this afternoon, taking some clients to the theatre, and bringing them home again tonight. The booking is for 12 hours, as that is the amount of time I will be available to the clients, and that is what they have paid for. In truth the 12 hour's paid for is closer to 16-17 hours work. 3 or 4 hours cleaning and valeting the car this morning to ensure it is up to standard when the clients get in. Another couple of hours checking drop off and pick up options at the theatre, and parking options for me, whilst they are watching the show. Checking the route before hand for any planned road closures, and so I know where I'm going. Yes, I will be using Sat Nav (a die hard Google Maps fan, today I will be trialling Waze) on the journey, but it's always good to know the route anyway. Plus a final check of current traffic conditions on the day to make sure there are currently no significant issues on route, that may warrant an earlier pick up. When someone books a Driver Hire (or tour, or any service) I don't just turn up at the booked time and hope for the best. My fee's may be based on how long I'm with the client, but they also reflect the additional "free" work that goes in before a booking to ensure a high level of service and customer satisfaction. #chauffeurservices #planning #customerservice #routeplanning #waze
