We decided to give them a taste of how they could take their delivery date estimates a step further with our Smart Delivery Estimate (SDE) solution. Amazon Wins...Again. I just tried to buy an appliance and found the exact one I wanted at Bed, Bath & Beyond online. Not only did they have the model, the size and the color of what I wanted but it was also the cheapest pricing I found, yay! So going through the checkout I input my credit card information and hit submit and... nothing, the little processing wheel just kept spinning and spinning. After about 20 minutes I closed it out and tried again and nothing. I confirmed my order info and my cc info and tried a third time and still nothing. Eventually, I jumped on the service chat and clearly started with a bot that couldn't help me before eventually getting to an operator who also couldn't help me. They couldn't fix the problem, nor could they manually put my order through. Finally, the "person" suggested I clear my cache, and start the process over. While doing so, in the course of 3 minutes, they asked the chat (a screen I was temporarily off) if I was still there after 1 minute and then disconnected my chat after 1 more minute before I returned to that screen. Again, the purchase didn't work. 45 seconds after that I found the item on Amazon, clicked a button 3 or 4 times and boom, I'll have my order in a few days. As a retail broker I generally try to avoid Amazon and patronize bricks and motor retailers, or at least their Ecomm versions, but if this is the best we can get from some retailers and Amazon can continue to make it so easy it's no wonder companies like Wayfair/BB&B are falling so far behind. #colliers #milwaukee #wisconsin #retail #ecommerce

Amazon Returns Processing Fee Changes Effective June 1, 2024** Hey Amazon tribe, Big changes are coming to how returns processing fees are managed starting June 1, 2024. . Here's the quick rundown: Fee Application: Fees will apply only to products that exceed certain return rate thresholds, specific to each category. Fee Calculation: Fees are based on the product’s size and weight, charged a few months after the sale. Exemptions: No fees for products shipping fewer than 25 units a month. Plus, some relief under the FBA New Selection program. . Apparel and Shoes: Every returned unit gets a fee—no exceptions. . Thoughts? These new fees could push us to improve product quality and customer satisfaction. But let's be honest, more fees? Not exactly welcome news. Disappointed by Flipkart's Open Box Delivery Experience I'm writing to express my extreme disappointment with a recent Flipkart open box delivery. Unfortunately, upon receiving the product, it was clear it was misrepresented. The item was defective. To make matters worse, when I contacted Flipkart for a refund, they denied my request, citing their policy for open box items. On [20th April 2024], I ordered a [LUMINOUS Centaur 400 mm 3 Blade Table Fan] table fan (Order ID: OD431048380586336100 ). This experience leaves me feeling cheated. Flipkart's open box policy seems to lack transparency. There's a huge difference between an open box product and a defective one. Customers expect a certain level of functionality even with open box items, and Flipkart should be upfront about the condition of the product. This incident has eroded my trust in Flipkart Support 's quality control and customer service. It's disheartening to see a reputable company like Flipkart potentially misleading customers with open box descriptions. I am a regular customer and a Plus Member at Flipkart Support , please don't disappoint me, I don't want my hard earned money to be wasted like this, so I kindly request that you initiate the refund process at your earliest convenience and provide instructions on how to return the defective item. As usual, Marketplace Pulse has delivered another must-read article. Among the various metrics highlighted, there's one that caught my attention: The YoY growth rate for third-party (3P) sales has increased for the first time since 2020, according to Marketplace Pulse's estimation method. In 2020, the growth rate hit an impressive 50%, setting a high bar for the following years. By 2021, this rate had dipped to 30%, and in 2022, we saw a further decline to just over 10%. Now, 2023 has seen a turnaround with an increase to approximately 11.6%, bucking the trend of diminishing growth rates. So, let's lay to rest all those rumors about Amazon FBA being dead– the numbers tell a different story. And if your Amazon brand grew by less than 11% last year, it might be time to review your strategy.
Amazon and its sellers sold $700 billion worth of goods in 2023. Gross merchandise volume (GMV) has more than doubled in four years; most of that growth came from the third-party marketplace.

With a heart full of excitement and a hint of scepticism, I placed my order on Flipkart, a platform that promised convenience and possibility.
