An academic counsellor empathizes and empowers students while providing career advice based on their objectives, abilities, and academic learning. An academic counsellor should be well-versed in education programmes and institutions while advising students on career paths. Education counsellors' primary objectives are to empower students and guide them towards their individual goals through customized mentorship. As an Academic Counselor, I find each student has a unique skill set and potential, and it is very critical to understand their professional planning to provide career advice for their future ambition,so to understand their future needs it is important for counselors to update themselves accordingly. #educationcounsellor#Academiccoach#

How do educational institutions fulfill the most pressing need of their students - getting career advice - when regulations are cracking down on institutions that dispense this advice? Professors are continually asked for advice, but are they putting their institutions in jeopardy of being fined or closed down because of newer regulations directed at career schools? Today's Inside Higher Ed article discusses how professors are continually asked for advice. Although I know it is beyond the scope of this article, my question to you is, what happens when your instructors and professors give out career advice; are they putting your institution in jeopardy of being fined or closed down because of many of the newer regulations? #careereducation #careeradvice #highereducation #edup

Let's explore everything about studying in Finland by Jitin Chawla's Centre for Career Development An adventurous and safe Nordic country with a top-of-the-world higher education system. Finland embraces education for a better life and a brighter future for everyone. Riitta Kaivosoja Alfonso Haodom Tiina Kivisaari Finland has 14 universities and 24 universities of applied sciences. There are over 500 bachelor's and master's degree programs taught in English. Doctoral study and research options are also available for international students. The Finnish higher education system is divided into two parallel sectors: universities and universities of applied sciences. Jitin Chawla's Centre for Career Development recommendation of universities for international students. Aalto University University of Helsinki University of Eastern Finland University of Jyväskylä University of Lapland LUT University University of Oulu Hanken School of Economics University of the Arts Helsinki Tampere University Turun yliopisto - University of Turku University of Vaasa Åbo Akademi University Universities of Applied Sciences in Finland Arcada University of Applied Sciences Centria University of Applied Sciences Xamk - South-Eastern Finland University of Applied Sciences Finnish Credit System The Finnish credit is based on the principle that 60 credits measure the workload of a full-time student during one academic year. This means roughly 30 credits per semester or 15 credits in one 7-week span. In most cases, one credit/study point stands for around 25 to 30 working hours. The courses offered by the different departments vary greatly in the amount of credit offered. Finland's higher education system is part of the European "Bologna process". The degree structure is based on a two-cycle model: Università di Bologna First cycle: A minimum of three years, ending in a Bachelor's degree Second cycle: Master's and Doctoral degrees The third Bologna action line concerns the establishment of a system of credits. A key feature of ECTS is that “60 ECTS credits are attached to the workload of a full-time year of formal learning (academic year) and the associated learning outcomes. In most cases, student workload ranges from 1,500 to 1,800 hours for an academic year, whereby one credit corresponds to 25 to 30 hours of work.” European University Association European Higher Education Area Permanent Residency in Finland Permanent residence is also possible, after you have lived in Finland on a continuous residence permit for four years and have for example found employment after your graduation. The period of your studies in Finland is naturally counted towards this time, too. For more information visit our website - www.jitinchawla.com Team Jitin Chawla's Centre for Career Development

As a Career Counselor I would like to share the importance of "PROFILE BUILDING" in a students life. It is very important for teachers and parents to motivate, help and support their children to develop a strong profile. Profile building refers to the process of strategically developing and showcasing one's academic achievements, extracurricular activities, skills, experiences, and personal qualities. SO WHEN SHOULD WE START DEVELOPING A PROFILE???? The process of developing a profile can start as early as middle school, around ages 12-14, and continues throughout high school and beyond. WHY IS IT SO IMPORTANT?????? *College Admissions * Scholarships and Financial Aid *Personal Development *Career Opportunities *Networking Below video shows some of the ways how can a student develop his/her profile..

Embracing Change in Higher Education: Professional development and career counseling are making a notable impact in our universities. Until recently, these disciplines were largely absent from the academic scene, yet their introduction has been a game-changer. Students now have access to resources that smooth their transition from classes to the corporate world, closing the gap between classroom learning and professional reality. The inclusion of these faculties in universities is not just an enhancement, but a necessity, making the academic journey more beneficial and relevant. The future of education is here, and it is more practical, holistic, and attuned to real-world demands than ever. #Education #ProfessionalDevelopment #CareerCounseling #UniversityLife #FutureOfWork"
