Chief Justice González is the real deal! Read this excellent article by Judge Mansfield (also an excellent, excellent judge and human being) before marking your ballots for the Supreme Court.
In 2021, I wrote a wide-ranging interview with Washington State Supreme Court Justice Steven González that was published in the Washington State Bar Association’s Bar News magazine. His ideas about the future of justice in this state and in America still ring true. https://lnkd.in/gADVDyWg

👩⚖️ 👨⚖️ Last week, alongside ICC teams focused on victims, the Trust Fund for Victims at the ICC had the opportunity to brief the ICC judges-elect (now Sworn-In Judges). 🤝 We discussed the Trust Fund's activities at the ICC and its interactions with Pre-Trial Chambers, ensuring that TFV assistance programmes do not prejudice issues before the Court or impact the rights of the defence and fair trial. 🤝 Additionally, we addressed interactions with Trial Chambers during reparation proceedings and programme implementation, as well as with the Presidency of the Court in enforcement and in advancing the strategic role that the TFV plays in delivering justice for victims of crimes under the jurisdiction of the Court. #victimsrights #trustfundforvictims #internationallaw #internationalcriminalcourt

Spinak argues that the family court is an unnecessary institution that has failed in its mission and has contributed to the family regulation system that destroys the lives of many. So, what needs to change? Check out our latest blog to learn more and what Spinak proposes to bring about justice for children and families. https://ow.ly/AghU50Qsx84
