International Court of Justice (ICJ)

ANNOUNCEMENT: In September, the #ICJ welcomed the 2024-2025 cohort of Judicial Fellows. The Fellows will work under the supervision of a Member of the Court and alongside the primary legal assistant of the judge on a full-time basis for approximately ten months, from early September to June of the following year. The Court now invites applications from eligible universities to nominate candidates for the 2025-2026 Judicial Fellowship Programme and Trust Fund Award.   The Programme enables recent law graduates to gain experience working at the Court. It aims to improve participants’ understanding of public international law and of the Court’s procedures by actively involving them in its work and allowing them to build on their experience under the supervision of a Judge. The purpose of the trust fund is to grant fellowship awards to selected candidates who are nationals of developing countries from universities based in developing countries, thereby improving and guaranteeing the geographic and linguistic diversity of the participants in the Programme.   More information on the eligibility criteria, application process and the trust fund can be found on the Court’s website at https://lnkd.in/e5Bf_UbA #judicialfellows #trustfundaward #fellows #fellowship #publicinternationallaw

ANNONCE : En septembre, la #CIJ a accueilli la cohorte 2024-2025 des Judicial Fellows. Les Fellows travaillent à plein temps sous la supervision d'un membre de la Cour et aux côtés du référendaire attaché à celui-ci pendant une dizaine de mois, de début septembre à juin de l'année suivante. La Cour invite à présent les universités éligibles à désigner des candidats au programme relatif aux Judicial Fellows pour l’année 2025-2026 et aux bourses offertes par le fonds d’affectation spéciale qui y est associé.   Ce programme permet à des étudiants en droit récemment diplômés d’acquérir une expérience professionnelle à la Cour. Il a pour objectif d’aider les participants à améliorer leur connaissance du droit international public et des procédures de la Cour en leur permettant de participer activement aux travaux de celle-ci et d’enrichir leur expérience sous la supervision d’un juge.
