Treating each customer interaction unique When the main goal is to serve and make them happy, I decided to challenge this perspective. In my previous role, a couple called to book a restaurant reservation for their 50th anniversary. With a special request—to watch American Formula 1 on a big screen. Instead of a normal routine, I decided to personalize their experience. -Reserved a table for 2 at the front -Provided a candlelight dinner in an outdoor setting. -Included gas warmers to keep them comfortable. -Provide maasai shukas for added warmth -Surprised them with a customized anniversary cake. Results The couple could not stop giggling and smiling at each other. Their heartfelt response was, "Lucy, you did it; it had the best anniversary ever’. Personalization goes beyond recognizing customers by name; it is about the overall customer experience. Simple details can excite customers, and going out of your way leaves a lasting impression.
