Last week, our Executive Director, Alvin Aloysius Goh (MSHRI, MCIPD, MSID, IHRP-SP) travelled to Riyadh for the Human Capability Initiative and joined a panel discussion to share some research findings that #SHRI did for our members. He talked about the importance of empowering our young talents to play a part in shaping organisational culture by giving them platforms to voice their perspectives and preferences. Leaders, on the other hand, should rethink and reimagine their approach to #leadership, and challenged the concept that the success of a leader should be measured not just by profit and loss but also by their societal contribution. Championing Progressive People Practices in Organisations
I had the privilege to participate in an enlightening panel discussion last week at the Human Capability Initiative in Riyadh. Together with Dr. Ghadah Alarifi, Elaine Grell CharteredFCIPD, Stuart Evans, and skillful moderated by Olivier Dubuisson we discussed topics related to our future #workforce, and we touched on the generational impact of our #workplace as our young #talents enter our workforce. We explored the pivotal role of #leaders in shaping the #organisationalculture as well as the practical needs and issues of the future of our work. Met Mr Peter Cheese at the same event as he talked about the importance of #human capital and #economic growth and as well as the latest #trends in shaping the world of #work! I believe the future of work can be very exciting, so long as we can leverage the strengths of our younger talents and embrace #technology in our job roles.
