Such an important topic as workplaces unravel or re-ravel their norms coming out of the pandemic!! I'm writing a piece on the importance of #emotionalintelligence and #mindfulness as foundational for creating workplace civility and responding to incivility. One of the ways to cultivate a culture of respect is understand how emotions/reactions sometimes create distance between people (making uncivil behavior "easier"); another way to recognize our fundamental sameness so that we can build more empathy for each other (making civil behavior more likely). Simple, not easy!!

Great insights, cultivating a culture of respect and civility begins with individual accountability and extends beyond workplace boundaries. Encouraging open dialogue, empathy, and proactive conflict resolution strategies can pave the way for positive relationships and heightened productivity.
